Round Hill Hotel & Villas

I had a really good time here. The property is tucked away and calm and ideal for someone looking for an escape to chill and gather their thoughts. The staff is very attentive and accommodating. I would definitely recommend this property!

First, let me say that the service over the phone before I even got there was great. Aleesha was very good and helped me plan my fiancés birthday trip, however we were not able to stay to enjoy it and had to cancel all dinner and spa plans. The resort is very old, grungy and in desperate need of updates. The beach and pool is not the cleanest, and the suites are old, outdated, and most of all infested with tiny bugs. The pictures that I uploaded show tiny specks, but those are actually all bugs. They were everywhere: on the side tables, coffee table in the living room, the bar table on top of the refrigerator, on the safe, in the bedroom, literally everywhere. We called housekeeping and management several times throughout the first 2 nights of our stay, and they came to clean, however, the bugs were right back moments later. I spoke to the resort manager who explained to us that they were simply “part of the ecosystem”. I was floored. I had a plunge pool suite that I paid over $5000 for, and I’m supposed to be surrounded by tiny bugs that are now in my suitcase and all over the place? The mosquito situation is out of control, my fiancé and I left with big bites all over. We finally had to cut the stay short and leave after the 2nd night. I will say that the resort manager provided a refund to the card used, but did not make it convenient knowing that I now had to switch resorts in the middle of my fiancés birthday trip. We left very early the morning after the 2nd night, went to Halfmoon and had an amazing and bug-free birthday vacation. Lastly, I want to say that we travel within 5 star accommodations at all times. We literally just came from Houston’s Post Oak Hotel which was amazing. We always stay at Four Seasons, Ritz, Salamander, Park Hyatt, Waldorf Astoria, Mandarin Oriental, Peninsula, and other 5 star hotels. So, with that being said, we know luxury, and this is not it.

Villa experience was exceptional. Staff was friendly and very accommodating. Villa was pristine and extremely comfortable / well appointed. Nightly dining was top notch, although priced accordingly. Nightly music entertainment was a very pleasant surprise and highly enjoyable.

It’s a wonderful, classic and old school hotel. The staff are generally kind, but service can be a bit slow. The rooms are cleaned well, the beach is beautiful and well kept. The pool needs to be serviced more often…. Dinner every night could be 1000x better if they found a way to manage the mosquito situation a bit more.. it’s a blood bath and hard to enjoy without wanting to get the heck out of there. We would’ve spent way more money on drinks and dessert but I couldn’t sit there to enjoy.

Our cottage was spacious, comfortable and super clean! However, the exterior looked tired and in need of a fresh coat of paint. Plus, the obvious gaps in the door sweeps was an invitation for insects. Landscaping was gorgeous and well tended thanks to Eton, master gardener! Round Hill is a special place. We celebrated our 25th wedding anniversary with our 4 grown children, and we loved every minute. The service was spectacular, our villa was gorgeous and the staff was so kind and personable. We had lots of fun activities to do: paddle boarding and snorkeling off the dock, tennis and pickle ball, a day of boating and a special anniversary dinner made for us in our villa. The staff made us feel at home and took very good care of us. We will definitely be back.

Round Hill is one of the most beautiful properties I have ever seen and the resort is a private sanctuary. The staff is of the highest caliber and took care of all of our needs. If you want the ultimate in a vacation, then this is the place.

Amazing resort. Wonderful staff. Relaxing. Great for the whole family. Warm and welcoming. Very sad to leave.
