Our stay at La Chiusa Boutique & Restaurant was fantastic. The place had a great pool, and the surroundings were ideal for pure relaxation and vacation. Our room was super, and the restaurant served the best food. Every evening was a completely unique experience where both the food and the wine were fantastic. An explosion of different flavors. All the staff from those at the reception, to the staff in the restaurant both for the evening and breakfast were so nice and helpful. We sat and ate under the chestnut trees, which in the evening were lit up, and had the most amazing view. We were treated like VIP by the staff. We can only give La Chiusa Boutique & Restaurant our warmest recommendations for a fantastic holiday where relaxation and pampering are the key words.

Wonderful hotel for a great value. Very friendly staff who were there to greet us and make breakfast for us in the morning, excellent food for breakfast, great location near all the key sights of Tuscany, a nice view, comfortable room with great AC, and nice grounds. I will stay here again for sure next time I visit Tuscany.

Structure in the historic centre of Pienza, from an old monastery, service and top-top reception, should only be equipped with some rooms with a 4-star accessory (kit courtesy, But for the rest, it is a nice place. The swimming pool with a wonderful view, a restaurant with customer service and care at the highest levels (good to all the boys and the owner) even if used for a dish, a fantastic breakfast with so many local products. To return absolutely.

We stayed in room 23 – this one had a separate sitting area, and was lovely – large and spacious. It was very clean and the bed linens were nice. There’s a small fridge and safe in the room. The TV in the sitting area could be a bit bigger, and the wifi needs an upgrade, but otherwise, it was very comfortable. Bathroom was nice and well-equipped, although the lighting could be brighter. Breakfast was very good: eggs, cold cuts, cheese, selection of cereal, toast, jams, pancakes (some days), croissants and other baked goods, juice, and of course coffee. We also had dinner here 4 out of 5 nights – very good, but pricey. It was nice to not have to drive somewhere else for dinner. The staff are amazing here – very professional and helpful. The pool area was lovely – lots of chairs and umbrellas available, and the pool itself was clean. Even though the days were warm, the water was too cold for swimming in October 😊 The whole complex is beautiful and we could see ourselves staying here for a couple of months, wandering through vineyards and olive groves! If you have a chance to go, attend the vineyard tour and wine-tasting (it was done very well – low-key and about 1 hour, which was perfect). La Sovana is also well situated to visit many of the other notable towns in Tuscany and Umbria: Siena, Assisi, Orvieto, Montepulciano, etc. Overall, we loved this place and would go back for sure.

A spacious and very clean room, in a comfortable location near the centre, a large parking, very friendly owner. Quality/price ratio is greater than excellent. Advised in particular as a base to visit the valley of Orcia.

My boyfriend and I visited this hotel for our first night in Italy, and we could not have asked for a better way to start the trip. The staff was very friendly and accommodating, the room was very comfortable, and the food was incredible. It was a short drive to Montepulciano and Pienza so we were able to explore the two towns without expending too much energy. The area was relatively quiet, so we were not disturbed by loud noises. I’d highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking to stay in Tuscany! It’s perfectly enjoyable for individuals, couples, families, or a group of friends.
