A lovely medium sized hotel (non chain) located near the centre of Montecatini Terme. A pretty park lies close by, plus a grand palatial spring water spa, overlooked by beautiful Alto. The hotel staff are very welcoming, very helpful and efficient and make you feel part of the hotel family. The bar area and the restaurant is very good, with a varied menu of Italian cuisine. The restaurant looks out on the pool area in a medium sized verdant garden. There is a hotel spa with a new sauna/steam room/jacuzzi. Again all the staff are excellent. It is very comfortable here as a base in a beautiful area for visiting the many attractions of Tuscany.

Was really disappointed after reading great reviews on this hotel. Our welcome was not as warm as we were expecting after reading all of the good reviews. The lady was quite abrupt and was on her mobile phone while checking us in! All front of house staff were quite rude and not friendly to us at all. Rooms were very small but a good sized bathroom. Had to pay for towels to use around the pool. The hotel and grounds however were spotlessly clean and the hotel is in a great location. Breakfast was very basic but passable.

A very warm and friendly medium sized family run hotel. All staff without exception went the extra mile. All seemed happy in their work and looked after us extremely well. Ideally placed to explore locally and further afield by train to Florence, Pisa and Lucca. The food was authentic Italian with lots of variety at each meal. The bar was well stocked and always open for coffees as well as other drinks. The new spa complex was very peaceful with jacuzzi, steam and sauna and very relaxing massages. We had the spa to ourselves for 2 hours and it was spotlessly clean and comfortable. Everything was spotless in the hotel and rooms. Thank you for a lovely stay.

The hotel staff were welcoming and very efficient at their job. The hotel facilities were good but the rooms rather too small as I was sharing the room with a friend. We were expecting a medium sized room but that wasn't the case. We felt too squashed in and lived from our suitcases due to lack of adequate room to hang our stuff. Next time, the best way is to get single rooms. Saga tour guide, Andy, was just brilliant. He went over and beyond his call of duty to take us around on tours and attended to all our needs. He is a good listener and a problem solver. There is nothing too big for him. He made our time in Italy, utterly enjoyable. All in all, a fantastic holiday except for the noise at night from drinkers in cafes and bars surrounding the hotel.

Wonderful hotel. Staff very friendly and welcoming. Rooms clean and comfortable, fresh towels everyday and rooms cleaned every day. We stayed half board so breakfast and dinner included and was very good. Buffet breakfast continental and English, buffet salad in the evening and a couple of choices on the menu for starters and main. Different choices every day and fresh food on the buffet, food was very good and waiting staff very amenable and friendly. New Wellness Spa, managed by Tanya which was absolutely fantastic, and Tanya excellent at massaging. Great base for Pisa, Florence, Siena, Bologna. Station nearby and train tickets are cheap.. I would definitely recommend this hotel and would return. The pool is lovely as well and managed to get a dip in as the weather was good

One of the best hotels in Montecatini, we stay at this hotel always, many years in a row, every time we come back "like home". Great friendly service, stunning location. The hotel now has a separate part with new rooms and spas. The new part of the hotel has retained its warmth and friendliness, the Art Nouveau rooms themselves are gorgeous (beautiful, functional and with a personal jacuzzi in the room, romance in Tuscany).

The breakfast was poor but good with what was on the buffet, old furniture in the room and smell of old also.Cover of bed was old, i think need to be replaced with a modern one. Service of waiters very good, i stayed on the terrace every evening. Per total it was a good experience but can more pleasant if the rooms had new furniture and good smell.
