Hotel Reale

Lovely family run hotel, like a home away from home. Good food, very clean and lovely staff ready to help. The rooms are nice, we upgraded to a room with a terrace which was a nice add on for relaxing privately. Lovely courtyard and a good central location for visiting near by places such as Florence/ Pisa and other smaller towns. Would highly recommend and would definitely return.

Had a relaxing 4 night stay in this charming family-run hotel in Montecatini Terme. The dedicated and hard-working team really makes your stay special. Must mention Angela and Sara at reception for their friendliness and ability to resolve any concerns quickly. Food was honest and home-cooked style, great breakfast selection. Many grander "names" in Montecatini hotels, but you won't get a warmer experience than Hotel Reale. Thank you for making my daughter and I feel so at home. While in the town make sure you see all it has to offer. Hotel front desk really helpful with information about Tettuccio (old spa complex), opera tickets, funicular to Montecatini Alto and any trips you wish to take. There is more to do in Montecatini Terme than we expected, but you are perfectly placed to explore Florence, Lucca and the rest of Tuscany if you choose.Highly recommend this place for a relaxing break.

We stayed here from 01 August 2012 for seven nights.  Hotel Reale is ideally situated, close to the town centre and all amenities, but no noise at night.  There are 54 rooms, with all the facilities you could need.  Superior room types are available on request, for an additional fee - these rooms are larger, have a balcony or terrace, minibar, pool robes etc..  The hotel is family run, very efficient in all respects, but at the same time friendly and pleasant - nothing is too much trouble, you only have to ask.  We had breakfast every day in the hotel, there is a great self service buffet choice - cereals, breads, cold meats, fruit, cheese, tea, coffee, fruit juice, yogurt etc..  If you would like fried or scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage etc., this is served to your table.  Although we did not eat lunch or dinner in the hotel (huge choice of nearby restaurants / away on day trips a lot) the menu looked good.  The garden area at the front of the hotel has lots of seating and tables, and with plenty of shade from the mature trees is an excellent spot to relax, read a book or enjoy a drink from the bar.  The pool area is compact, but easily big enough for the number of people sunbathing or swimming.  There are plenty of sun chairs and loungers, pool towels are provided, or you can use your own.  Top marks to the housekeeping staff, everything is kept spotless, indoors and out.  We spent a long time researching TripAdvisor and similar, when choosing where to stay in Montecatini - even so, you can never be sure you have made the right choice before your stay.  I will say without any hesitation, this was a brilliant choice, we loved it and would definitely stay here again.  Look no further, book this hotel now!

Clean but basic hotel. Cleaned daily. Friendly helpful staff. My aircon leaked so mentioned it to reception. They sent someone to fix it but it continued leaking so just left it. Food edible but serving soup for a starter every day during a heatwave wasn’t good. They need to provide more Italian dishes and not goulash! Pool small, clean but deep. Ideal for dipping in and out to stay cool. Sadly it was overrun everyday by local mothers drinking cocktails and their toddlers screaming and running around all day so don’t expect peace and quiet. Good to visit this hotel once but will not be returning.

Excellent location, easy to travel to from Pisa by train. Hotel staff are amazing, always polite and willing to help. They really made our stay an enjoyable one. It is a 3 star with 5 star team, thank you again

Lovely little gem of a hotel. Fab room and pool in lush surroundings. Excellent base for visiting Florence, Pisa and Lucca. Our stay of 5 days was perfect in every way. Special mention must go to Angela, the receptionist, as well as housekeeping who maintained the room to an excellent standard. Also, waiting staff all very attentive with nothing too much trouble for them. A must do is the funicular up to Montecatini Alto in the evening as our last night was very special with the best pizza ever.
