This is a fabulous boutique hotel that if dont want a modern looking hotel this will bring you delight! The host is fantastic, warm and very helpful with making recommendations and bookings for you. She speak 6 languages, so you can always communicate! She will go out of her way to make your stay memorable. We will definitely back.

We came across this hotel at the last minute after being disappointed with other accommodation we had booked. So we travelled to the hotel to check it out and immediately saw that it would make our last three days in Tuscany memorable and booked the only available room there and then starting that night. Francesca is a wonderful host making us feel very welcome and with excellent recommendations for restaurants and wine tasting. Perhaps some of the electrical and bathroom fixtures and fittings are in need of some attention but these small issues are easily overlooked because of the gorgeous rooms and communal areas including a very nice loft area to relax with lovely views. Breakfast was another highlight, cereals, yoghurt, breads, meat, cheese, eggs and especially a large variety of home made cakes. Montecarlo is a very pretty small village in the heart of a wine growing region with several very good restaurants, a tourist information office and a few nice shops. We plan to return.

Part of one of our periodic three day trips around mainland Tuscany with our two Beagles. Montecarlo is a charming little village with an ancient fortress and this beautiful historic hotel owned and run by Francesca and Flávio. A great experience from start to finish. Thank you both !

We stayed for one night and Francesca made us very welcome. The house is beautiful and has been decorated in keeping with its age. The bed was very comfortable and the breakfast was fantastic and included home made cakes. It is in the centre of Montecarlo and minutes from various restaurants.

Perfect for when you want to 'get away from it all', but still be close enough to everything. The house is gorgeous, the rooms lovely. the homemade cakes for breakfast were the best I've had in Italy. I wanted to try them all! The welcome is very, very warm, and Aphrodite (spelling?) was so kind. She even made us a "celebration muffin" for our anniversary :)

Deliziosa dimora storica trasformata in un elegante bed and breakfast. Le camere spaziose, arredate con gusto, letti confortevoli . Si riposa in assoluta tranquillità ed al mattino una colazione ricchissima con mille dolci fatti in casa. Montecarlo è un vero gioiello della Toscana e questo albergo lo fa apprezzare al meglio.
