Casablanca Unique Hotel

I received a warm welcome on arrival and found the Moroccan, minimalistic style of the hotel interesting and unusual for Montegordo. This was my sixth holiday in Montegordo and my first time in this hotel. My room had two comfortable beds, a TV, a tiny fridge and a coffee maker, but no kettle. It had a hanging rail but no drawers for clothes. The bathroom had a decent shower but was in desperate need of a repaint and a new door. The room was serviced each day with fresh towels, bed making and rubbish removal. I was allocated a room on the second floor at the corner of the building and I picked up all the loud noise from the square outside and the restaurants around the square- no peace until after midnight most nights. I had breakfast each day and the a**osphere in the dining room was relaxed and comfortable. Food choice was good and plentiful. I could have eaten dinner at 15 euros but the menu posted each day didn't tempt me. There are plenty of places to eat in Montegordo and Vila Real. All in all, a small, friendly, reasonably comfortable hotel which is let down by the noise from the square outside and the unnecessary 2 euro per day charge for a room safe which is not bolted to the wall. I won't be returning as there are hotels close by which offer better value for money and a sea view.

I just got back from the trip.I stayed in this hotel. Very good European hotel for ”three stars.” Staff friendly and always ready to help.Aquarium on registration is quite large and spacious. No bullying on animals I have seen.Bed and towels are always clean.Of the toilet Appliances are only soap. All the rest you can buy in a gastronomy at a corner-cheap and available.Rooms and showers are spacious. There is a small ”kitchen” with a refrigerator, tile and microwave stove. All the food cooking facilities: pans, jars, knives, forks, slippers,a teapot and even a pad for wine and wine glasses.washing and kitchen towels.Wide balcony with table and chairs. The air conditioner works perfectly. On windows shadowy pillows. But the most important dignity is the location of the hotel. It is located in The very centre of the boulevard and two steps from the beach.I recommend visiting the VistaMar restaurant - delicious food and acceptable prices. Also cheerful and hospitality staff.

We stayed here for my sisters hen weekend in June 2024. The whole weekend was absolutely beautiful! The hotel and location was perfect. Plenty of bars, restaurants and supermarkets within walking distance. Hotel on the beach with bars along the pier too. The hotel room was cosy and clean with a balcony. The all you can eat breakfast was delicious. Staff very friendly and helpful. Lovely clean pool. The hotels dated decor I loved it! I would recommend the hotel for an adult only stay and I would definitely visit again.

Hotel was very close to the beach with bars and shops within easy distance. A lovely decorated foyer area with good helpful staff. Room was adequate but not large. A small balcony overlooked the road and a side view to the beach. beds were good and the only down side was there were no hot drink making faciklities. It had 2 lifts, one of which was out of action for our stay, this wasnt really an isue as the hotel didnt seem that busy, nut could be a bigger problem when it was. Room was attended to and beds made every day. I thought the restaurant was lovely well set out and not to busy, although it was just out of season. The restaurant staff were probably the most attentive I have yet to see in a hotel. always smiling and removing used plates and utensils quickly. Breakfast was a good a great choice of prepared fresh and tinned fruits, a small choice of hot food, yogurts, pastries, cooked meats etc. Fruit juice, tea and coffee machines. Evening meal always had a soup, choice of fish and meat, along with selection of vegetables. a huge array of salad items and probably the best display of chilled deserts ive seen in most hotels. The only down side to the food was.. I never had any food that was actually hot, it all seemed just luke warm to me. The roof area was quiet and the pool not large, but adequate for a little dip. A bar was open on the roof if you required a drink. All in all, a great 5 days away at an unbeleivable price for what we got. SHould I return to Monte Gordo, I wouldnt hessitate to stay again.
