Ambassador-Monaco

Second time at Ambassador, if you take the bus from Nice it leaves you very close and also the train station is very close. Walking distance to restaurants, supermarket. Breakfast is nice . The rooms have a nice size . Across the street there is a local market with fresh fruit but inside there are various types of restaurants with great food and prices. Also very near to the Royal Palace . Hope to go back soon.

We reserved two rooms, one with a balcony and one without. We were upgraded on the one without so both ended up with. One of the two rooms were available for early check in, but we had to wait for the other. The front desk staff were very friendly and helpful. It was hotter than Hades when we were there, yet the air conditioning kept up. Others have complained about the helicopter noise, but we didn't hear them except when at the pool. The pool is different (at least to what I'm used to) in that it the majority is 1.75M depth. There are decent restaurants walking distance away, but walking to the ****** in the heat and humidity would have been brutal. Taxi to the train station ran 25 euro. Among a few minor complaints is that while the room had an electric kettle to heat up water, for what one is paying that ought to have an actual coffee maker in the room like one would find at most Hiltons. Also getting the sliding door to the balcony to slide required a serious yank. Lastly figuring out the light switched was a challenge.
Novotel Monte-Carlo

Magnificent hotel in the heart of Monaco. It was our anniversary and they gave us a bottle of champagne. Quite complete breakfast, cleanliness. The gel and shampoo is from the Rituals brand. It was a great decision to have chosen the hotel. It has a mini bar, safe and boiled water. There are two refillable water bottles in the room on the 7th floor. For tea lovers, the breakfast buffet includes bulk infusions.
