We stayed one night at this small hotel at the entrance to the old city. The staff were lovely. Helpful, friendly, and so accommodating. Our room was basic but well appointed and the amenities indicated that thought and care had gone into them. Breakfast was basic but good, and the espresso made to order was very good. I would recommend this place for a one or two nights stay without hesitation.

Our first visit to Montalcino (my parents and sister are repeat customers here). Perfection! Our rooms, our gracious and beautiful hostesses, Eleanora and Elisa. VIEWS!! Our room had the most amazing views (#9, Viola). Our daughter had a 2 bedroom suite to herself & thought who she was (#11, Rosa). A lovely breakfast every morning. Loved every moment & can’t wait to come back!

Everything was perfect and I would definately stay here again if i’m in the area. Location is perfect with a short walk to the center. It’s a really beatiful place to visit. It’s like beeing in a painting everywhere.

So let start by saying location, location,location..what a great spot with some of the greatest views in Montalcino. We spent 8 great nights here and were not disappointed.Elisa and Elanora made us feel at home, thank you so much for your hospitality it was very much appreciated. Wine tasting and numerous restaurants are steps away. Truly an amazing town and an amazing place to stay.

Waking up and opening the curtains in the room to fill your eyes with the Val d'Orchia is fulfilling the dreams of every visitor to Tuscany. The excellent experience at the Vecchia Oliveira Hotel is completed by the warmth of Elisa and Eleonora's attention. If you visit Montalcino, stay there.
