It is very close to the airport, and it costs more than ten dollars to take a taxi. Fully equipped with laundry room, swimming pool, gym. It is also convenient to eat nearby. Very close to the University of Rochester.

I travel to Rochester in the past many times when I worked for Eastman Kodak Company and stayed at Kodaks selected corporate hotels which didnt include Best Western at Rochester Airport. This time is my first personal business trip back to Rochester. I picked BW for this short trip for two nights purely because its close to the airport. However, its just too far away from other things/shops/restaurants and thus made me very inconvenient to access these places.

On Friday night around 10:30, a worker entered my room without knocking and told me he needed to fix the light in my bathroom. He was in there for over an hour. We had to be up at 6 am the next morning. Very scary to think he could have walked in unannounced with my daughter there alone, or when we were sleeping, etc. The lobby is ridiculously cold. Our room was 85° and we could only get it to go down to 76 over the course of two days. We will not return and will be filing a complaint about the worker entering our room. In all of my years, nothing like this has ever happened. At least I won the weekend with the most bizarre event...there were many complaints from friends staying there as well. But please watch yourself and use the extra locks when in your rooms.

I thoroughly enjoyed my visit to this exceptionally clean and modern hotel. Staff I encountered all were very professional. I had the opportunity to meet Steven, the hotel Manager and found him to be very friendly, knowledgeable and helpful as well as very professional and a truly perfect leader for such a property. The room is clean, the staff is friendly, the breakfast is a bit simple, there are only a few food options, close to the strong museum, 1 minute walk, the parking lot can be used directly at the museum, I will come again.

The lady who “greeted” us at the front desk was so rude. And then she was rude to the sweet elderly couple next to us when they asked for directions. Kinda put a damper on our first impression of the place. We asked for a rollaway bed for our kids and it made God awful sounds every time they moved. There were drunk people up and down the halls and next to us. We could hear the elevator ding loudly through the walls. The pool was ok but what the heck was going on with the tiny towels? The best part about it was that it was super clean and at least we are grateful for that. And grateful to be able to stay in a hotel, the employees just weren’t very nice and it was loud.

Great hotel. Clean, and very helpful staff. Breakfast buffet is varied, and fresh, with a friendly M-F person in charge of it. I would prefer that they stick with Frosted Flakes, “for the kids”, because the Fruit Loops are full of artificial dyes, which aren’t good for anyone. Also have Raisin Bran, and other choices, more for adults. Do wish the baked goods offered at breakfast were fresher. Dunkin’ and Tops are very close, so maybe they can buy fresher baked goods there. All of the front desk staff were very friendly and helpful, but several stand out, Matthew, Holden, and some women whose names I don’t know. Matthew even provided me with a box and shipping tape, when I mentioned I needed to send some overflow items home. The cleaning staff is amazing. They are very friendly and helpful. I hope they have chances for advancement in the company. The ones I had contact with were working so hard, whether dealing with laundry, trash, or preparing and cleaning rooms for guests. Overall, have had great stays at this hotel. The only caveat are the number of dogs, which hopefully I’m not placed near to, due to their barking, and my allergies.
