Premetto che al telefono ho chiesto espressamente una stanza al piano terra perché viaggiavo con la mamma anziana. Le altre stanze si trovano arrampicate e la scala in pietra è ostica anche per persona con gambe buone. La receptionist, peraltro molto professionale e tanto carina, mi offre una stanza matrimoniale con l’aggiunta di un letto nella pre-stanza. Il prezzo è elevato per le mie abitudini ma si tratta di due notti soltanto e mi faccio probabilmente incantare dall’appellativo “dimora” che rimanda a qualcosa di antico e forse a torto potrebbe far pensare ad una residenza sì centrale ma con un giardino. Telefono prima di arrivare e la stanza non è ancora pronta, lo sarà appena nel pomeriggio. Arriviamo e scopriamo, con grande meraviglia, che la nostra stanza, l’unica al pianoterra, è letteralmente sulla strada, con un ingresso separato dalla struttura principale ma attiguo e con la rumorosità di una via di scorrimento: non proprio una dimora! La stanza matrimoniale però ha la vasca dirò a assaggio doppia che misura come e più del letto, una doccia dove non c’è un posto dove appoggiare un sapone, uno shampoo ma è molto scenica e in cambio il porta carta igienica è in ferro bianco con tanto di ruggine che ha intaccato perfino le piastrelle. La colazione si prenota e manca il bello di un ricco buffet che forse sarebbe stato sulla terrazza, in cima alla scala di pietra, ripida ma bella. Il confort quello vero si può trovare anche e soprattutto nella semplicità dei dettagli, il design a volte è una trappola per foto…
