The hotel itself is like a little jewel box. It is indeed a boutique hotel but one you would want to live in. The hotel is all hand painted in muted colors with baroque finishing. The lobby reminds me of a small living room with beautiful fabrics and pillows. It is inviting to use in the winter months(we stay in winter too!). The staff is lovely. The manager is very personable and will be more than happy to assist you with anything you need. The hotel has a pool which is very small but perfect for an afternoon plunge. They have no restaurant with the exception of breakfast. I realize many are concerned with breakfast assortment. I do not eat breakfast but they serve everything from omelets, meats, pastries, almost anything you could want. Great cappuccino! The rooms are smallish but this is a boutique hotel. The beds are quite comfortable for a great night's sleep. The bathrooms are spacious and equipped with dryers, towels, bidet,lovely soaps, and the showers are warm and powerful. They do not cater to children which my husband and I love. Don't hate on me! I do think it is too small for children running around. Couples should not hesitate to make their reservations. You will love it.

We have just stayed for 3 nights at this beautiful hotel as part of a 3 week road trip for our 30th wedding anniversary. Out of the 7 hotels up to now (& they have all been different and fabulous) this one is definitely our favourite. From the moment we arrived the staff are all amazing and nothing is too much trouble. We have got to give a huge shout out to Raluca who made our stay so memorable, she gave us some wonderful recommendations for us to go and see, restaurants and where to buy the best wines. She also was so helpful with everything at the hotel and is definitely an asset to your “front of house” staff. The rooms are so comfortable and the linen is fab, also the best soft towels of our trip. We also ate at their own restaurant “Moda”which is a 10 minute walk away and blew us away, the food, Laura and the design features were all amazing. It was so quiet, relaxing and comfortable we will definitely be back as soon as we can. Well done all and see you again soon. Bob & Claire Watson.

We stayed here two nights as part of a 20 person bike tour. The rooms were clean and comfortable, a bit small but consistent with what we are accustomed to in Europe. The staff is very accommodating and nice. It is a steep hike up from the town to the hotel so probably not for someone physically challenged.

Lovely hotel, top service and fantastic location. We were 4 adults on a trip, wine tasting, cycling around the area and nice dinners. It is a short distance to Barolo, Barbaresco and La Morra. Recommend renting electric bikes. Top service at the hotel, especially from Jessica Barroero. There will be more trips here!

A beautiful hotel, friendly staff. Two negatives, however, to mention. They were completely unable to help us with info about hiking, though they list this among their "activities". They just directed us to the tourist office, which was closed for management change. The other thing: the weather was grand during our stay (and hot), so the nice pool was of great interest. Alas, the water temperature was heart-stoppingly glacial.

Very nice location but rooms were so small we couldn't open two suitcases without having everything all over. The bathroom renovations and rooms were done on the less expensive side. The shower was fiberglass. That being said, the staff was wonderful and the rooms were very clean. I would not recommend because of the size of the rooms and also no real spa. They created too many small rooms in this historic location.

The accommodation had issued me a voucher due to the Corona closure, which I could no longer redeem. This has to be reimbursed according to Italian law since December 7, 2022. However, since the refund request, the hotel has deliberately stopped responding to my messages!

Very clean and relatively modern. Staff very friendly and every request was welcomed and completely fulfilled. Delicious ala carte breakfast. A little limited in wine selection but very good ones. Incredible terraces from some of the rooms overlooking Montefort Alba and surrounding areas. Really cool glass sauna. Extremely convenient for touring the Barolo and Barbaresco regions. Would definitely recommend staying here!
