A curious little hotel. Location is either amazing on top of Monda with great views ..or tricky to get to depending on your perspective. Nice and fair value restaurant and bar with terrace but patchy and rather slow service (waited ages to get served in the bar). Traditional style but decent sized rooms with firm beds. Monda town is a short 10 minute walk downhill but a steep hike back. Some petty policies like a deposit for pool towels were unnecessarily irritating.

The hotel environment is very distinctive. It is a historical building that looks like a castle on the top of a mountain. The only downside was that the swimming pool was not open and it rained heavily that day, but luckily it cleared up later.

A beautiful castle built on a hill. I was a little nervous about the steep slope leading up to the trip, but when I arrived I was moved by the beautiful old castle that looked like something out of a fairy tale. It was about a 30 minute drive from Malaga Airport and about an hour and a half drive from Granada.
The taste and service of dinner from the rooftop with a great view is excellent. The recommended Ronda red wine was also delicious.
