It's an unusual place. We had a lovely bedroom overlooking the swimming pool at the back of the hotel. Breakfast had nice coffee but pretty basic. The place in general needs an upgrade as its a bit tired. Okay for one night on the start of our journey to the south.

The building is interesting, for example there is a small cloister. It is well-sited for both the historic town and the spa gardens/ river/ ecovia. As an hotel it is alright, but with a list of "buts" that should not occur in an hotel that claims four stars. The hot water in my room never got above tepid, sometimes was just cold. Reception staff's response was to suggest that l let the taps run for longer, which did not help. Metal furniture in the room looks stylish but is heavy, cold, hard to move and uncomfortable. No room safe. Wooden shutters let in enough light around the edges to wake me up with the dawn. Breakfast was OK, though cereals did not get more interesting than corn flakes. Tables are allocated by room number. Did not feel a place to relax. Staff were unsmiling. Yobbish guests played amplified music and shouted in the swimming pool area which l overlooked.

We got to the hotel early. The woman who was managing the front desk almost throw us out of the property as the check in time was at 3pm. Customary hotels offer to hold the luggage in storage we had to beg her to let us leave the luggage. When we dare to return to the hotel we found Octavio who was the check in clerk, bartender and restaurant server. He was very pleasant and accommodating. ******* needs to note this hotel is in Portugal, no Spain.

Dont, Just Dont. Rude. Tried to over charge us Dried blood on the sheets. Mold on the tub. You can do sooooooo much better than this. I can’t understand why they have so many good reviews. Different staff? Whatever, it was a huge mistake and we will not be staying another night.

Beautiful space, but the convent is very small, contrary to the entrance price, which was €7 per person. Super inexperienced lady at the entrance to the point of saying that I will pay 7€ to see something that is seen in 15 minutes. As it was a price you won't call me I stayed 1 hour at the place, 10 minutes of that hour waiting for a house that doesn't leave the best views of Sintra.
