A beautiful town with very nice people !! It is a very, very small town, 2 days are enough to go everywhere. Beautiful houses and most of them are becoming hotels. El Portal de la Marquesa is one of them. It needs some good maintenance ! Staff is very nice. It has a small "swiming pool" with fresh water. The heat is real heat 34º C try the sightseeing tour early morning.

It is a nice, cozy place and the people who serve it are very friendly. We came with my family and the two rooms were very good. It is an old restored house. For the price it is very good quality. They serve very tasty breakfast and take great care of children!

The hotel is very beautiful and you feel immersed in the colonial era of a Marquez book. Linen and clean room. Easy to reach and close to all points of interest in the city. Quiet and restful area. Well equipped bathroom. Small and comfortable central swimming pool with towels provided for drying off. Substantial and very good breakfast. Courteous and helpful staff helped us book the group to go to Cartagena. We asked for a specific room among those proposed in the photos and we were not assigned it. Our room was dark and although clean and with a comfortable bed it did not reflect the beauty of those in the photos and visible on the patio.

The power went out, the water! We only came one night! I feel in a hostel, with 5-star hotel prices! Breakfast has no alternative, it's whatever they give! Like a hostel! The bed with a bad mattress and rattling all the time!!! Expectations were not met

It is a nice hotel to look at, but it didn't go well for us. The air conditioning was damaged because there was no light, the bed with an old mattress and the next day without water because the hydropneumatic did not work and to top it off the angry employee when we asked her what was happening.
