Stoney Creek Hotel Moline

We just finished our stay. The breakfast was good but there wasn’t enough food out for as many people as there were staying there. The bar across the street played music until 3am and it was very loud outside. Things the hotel couldn’t control: unfortunately it was very noisy and many people were inconsiderate. There was an incident in the pool which closed it down for 1/2 our stay. The staff was amazing and very kind!

No hot water for hot tub. And breakfast, they were out of everything. Ladies at front desk, were great, super friendly!

Where do I even start with this place. I will get the good out there first. The staff were amazing, they did all they could and tried to ensure it stayed clean. Now for the crappy part- there is no way to monitor who is staying there and who wasn’t, the cops showed up as we were in the lobby getting ready to go enjoy the pool and took off running towards the pool, there was a fight of some sorts and waves of people started to leave the hotel in their bathing suits and bags because they were not even staying there. This fight closed down the pool for the rest of the night and even the next morning, so we didn’t get to use it which is why we took our kids there. Then there was like a family get together going in there, they took over the entire lobby area with their kids doing cart wheels and running around. Finally we retreat to our room for the night and the air doesn’t work and we have to crack the window, all we heard all night was the drunk birthday party being hosted there screaming and fighting all night long and loud music. My girls and I don’t sleep good but get up early as soon as breakfast is starting and there is already no food to eat and we have to wait and when small amounts are brought out it’s taken right away, by 9 am when my husband and son get up to eat the entire breakfast dining area is destroyed from people and there isn’t even cereal. We just didn’t have a good stay and didn’t get to even enjoy what we went there for. But the staff were great!

We had a hot tub room.and we couldnt use it water wasnt hot at all.and black stuff came out of water .in hot tub.and told front desk about us having no hot water in our room.had to take cold shower for 2 days .wouldnt go there again .bad place

overall a good stay as expected with stone creek, was a very busy night for them over 400 rooms was booked, only bad is the water system could not keep up and we was unable to use the hot tub or shower in the moring due to jo hot water

We paid for a jacuzzi room and were not able to utilize it due to their being no hot water, we also couldn’t even take a hot shower until right before we left. I could’ve just purchased a standard room for what I got out of this one.

I picked this property because I had heard good reviews-our intention was to come to the property to have a bit of a swim for my son’s birthday- we check in-they want to swim, we go& see small children w/no lifejackets, climbing then jumping off of the walls in the hot tub w/no parental guidance. Once we got into the hot tub, we found several areas of vomit, used Band-Aids, and a lot of garbage around tables. This goes on for several more minutes until I finally I say to the lil guys you’re not supposed to jump in a hot tub it can be dangerous. I felt responsible as me &my husband were the only adults in the area at that time. More kids come up again no parental guidance and they’ve brought balls. Apparently one is supposed to be the watch for small kids but we became targets for the balls I’m guessing because I spoke up and I told the little boys be safe. I was hit more than once in the back of the head/on my chair. My son in the head as well. My young daughter is afraid now, crying because the big kids not letting her jump in (which was very cold) soon my son wishes to even go home he’s also getting bullied. We exit the pool area went upstairs. The AC or heat wouldn’t do anything unless we put it down to 62°. No one could sleep it was so hot or very cold. Key cards stopped working by 6am, tried to make copy to no avail, hot tub was cold the next day, we left early. Breakfast wasn’t terrible, Alexis was awesome checking us in.

We have stayed here a few times and it never disappoints. The staff is great and always ready to help. The beds are comfortable. The rooms are always clean and ready for our stay. We will continue to book here when in the area.

The stay was amazing. I was upset with the fact I specifically mentioned I wanted to use two separate cards, one for the room charge and then another for the accidental fee. Yet the receptionist didn’t understand that and put the full charge on one card. It went over my spending limit on that card and charged me a fee. As to why I wanted to do it separate. But apparently couldn’t?
