Spark by Hilton Moline Quad Cities

This place had an awful breakfast experience and was very hot throughout the hotel. They also had bugs all in the window sill and some here or there in the room. The bedding however, was the best bedding I ever slept on. The hotel is also very tech savvy and had plenty of USB-C outlets, very bright lighting, and the AC worked great. I left 2 days in and went to another hotel. They also don’t even recognize your status or you as a person when you check in either.

I arrived at this Spark on my cross-country drive as the sun was setting. Because I got an uneasy feeling, possibly because my car was the only one in the parking lot, I decided to forfeit the HHonors points that I used to make my reservation and kept driving towards Chicago. I think this is the first time I have done this in my years as a Hilton Diamond member. The hotel is just across the Rock River from MLI airport, where there is a Hampton Inn that I enjoyed visiting a few years ago. Next to the Spark is the City of Moline South Slope Wastewater Treatment Facility, in front of the hotel is a gas station and dumpsters, and across the street is what looked like a struggling shopping mall. This hotel is probably fine on the inside, but I didn't stick around long enough to find out.

This Spark was sparkling throughout the period of our stay in the hotel, hotel staff were very nice to my wife and me. I was in town for a fun trip and the location was really great when it came to being on the budget that is short drive from pretty much anything that you might need as the moline mall was right across the street. Highly recommend if you are looking for budget friendly stay with all the right things a hotel should have to make a comfortable stay.
