Trumbles Gatwick B&B

Very satisfied stay experience. The host family is very friendly and welcoming. We have a lot of luggage. The room we originally booked is on the second floor. They are not afraid to trouble us to change the room on the first floor to avoid our luggage. The whole cabin is very cozyly furnished, typical English country house. At dinner we walked about ten minutes to Half Moon, a restaurant in their recommended town, and enjoyed a delicious English dinner. We highly recommend friends from Gatwick Airport to stay at this family hotel for one night and experience pure English country life.

We booked this hotel so we could use the steam room and hot tub however both were out of order for 3 days which was the duration of our stay. The food in the hotel - the service was appauling I waited 1.5 hours for a vegan beef wellington to then be brought a caulifour risotto which I didnt order and was given the excuse that the chef didnt have enough time / it would take too long to make a vegan wellingotn- even though it was a sunday roast meal and they knew I didnt eat meat 4 hours before the meal and I was told originally I would have to wait 10 minutes for my wellington after queing up at the cavery- so all I had to eat were sides. The room was great- and hotel immaculate

The hotel is located in the countryside and belongs to the manor hotel. The garden has large lawns and the air is first-rate. It is very suitable for vacationing here. You can eat steak for dinner. It tastes delicious. In short, it is recommended.
Mercure Box Hill Burford Bridge Hotel

Really enjoyed our stay at the Burford Bridge hotel this week. Every member of staff was a credit to the hotel including reception and the breakfast staff were Especially hard working and lovely. Thank you also to housekeeping who maintained our room beautifully. The swimming pool was a lovely treat on a hot, sunny day. Breakfast was good in the lovely Dining room and our Room (300) was very nice. The downstairs, restaurants bar and reception rooms are very tastefully decorated. This hotel has the potential to be a wonderful place with a little more updating and TLC e.g new bathrooms, better quality carpets ….and new, more comfortable sun beds. Could be made into a real haven not far out of London. Boxhill is stunning and great pubs and places to eat not far from the hotel, deep in the Surrey countryside e.g Running Horses and Smith and Western. We would recommend it and it was good value, hence very good but it could be great ! Thank you so much for a nice stay !

We visited here for dinner, having driven past it numerous times we thought it was worth a visit. Very traditional British pub, exposed beams, open fire and lovely food. We took our dog with us, as it is a very dog friendly place. We sat in the bar area and had a small table reserved for us for dinner. The service was table service and the staff who served us were very polite and friendly. The pub at the moment is dressed up very nicely with Christmas decorations and looks very festive. We ordered the sourdough with olive oil and balsamic to start, the steak and ale pie for main and the sticky toffee pudding for desert. Cannot fault this meal one bit. It was delicious and certainly filled a gap. I'd definitely re visit this pub and definitely recommend steak and ale pie. 👌 all in all a lovely dinning experience and look forward to our next visit.
