We stayed in the Ironstone room, which was large, homely and had a great view of Cradle Mountain. It was easy to check in and very friendly staff. We booked the tomahawk steak dinner and it did not disappoint! The light breakfast consists of Muesli and yoghurt which was also a nice start to the day. We would highly recommend staying here and wish we had longer!

Left a review for the dining, but the accommodation is worth a review too. It's clean, well-appointed and comfortable. It was exactly what I was looking for, and was good value - I really enjoyed my stay. Service was excellent too - friendly but unobtrusive. The free breakfast in the morning was also really appreciated before my long hike!

Very nice atmosphere in the old style building with artistic touch. The room was well prepared and we felt very welcomed. We also enjoyed the food and drinks at the bar.

Good base for what we wanted to do in the area
Good base for what we wanted to do in the area. Room spacious and clean no tv in room. Little expensive compared to some places we have stayed in while travelling around Tasmania

Wandering Trout
Spacious accommodation. Quiet and close to Mole Creek Hotel which provides very good Tassie Tiger pies at a reasonable price.

The atmosphere was amazing! Wonderful food and service. Room was comfortable and clean.
We came here as a stop over from Cradle Mountain and was not disappointed. Not only was the room comfortable and worth the price (particularly given the time of year we visisted), the staff were all very friendly and the whole place has a wonderful atmosphere. If you visit and like being able to mingle, we definitely recommend the set dinners they offer from Wednesday to Sunday. You get the chance to mingle with other patrons of the hotel as you eat and the food was amazing quality!
Definitely recommend if you are ever in the area. They do have limited rooms, so you are best to book.
