Palazzo CAVÌ

The rooms are beautifully arranged with comfortable beds. Guests enjoyed the delicious and abundant breakfast served on the terrace. The owners and staff are extremely helpful and friendly.

This little boutique hotel hit all the high notes for an establishment of this size. Run by a lovely couple, we had one good experience after another. First, Marco came to the square to meet us and guide us into the hotel, then he moved his own vehicle so we could have a convenient place to park, as there is no parking on site. The rooms are beautifully designed, as is everything at the hotel. The beds are true king sized and very comfortable. The bathrooms are well equipped with lots of large towels. There is a rooftop jacuzzi tub, which we did not use but it looked very inviting. Both Marco and Marie Joanna were helpful in recommending not only local restaurants but also recommended a nearby town we hadn’t planned on visiting and restaurants in other nearby towns, one of which was my favorite lunch in Italy. They also organized a private tour for us at a local olive oil production facility. The highlight at Palazzo Cavi could have been the tour of their cistern/wine cellar but was actually the delicious, customized, endless breakfasts provided with friendly grace by Marie Joanna. The food was terrific and it was presented beautifully, course after course. The fruit and bread were market fresh and wonderful. We pride ourselves in making great brunches but this was a new standard to aspire to. This was also a great town to use as a base to explore places like Alberobello, Locorotundo, Ostuni, Sassi di Matera and others.
