White Windmill Guesthouse

The place is located at top of hill and foot of the mountain so you need to take cab or climb o. There is complimentary breakfast but you need to prepare yourself. The owner is nice and friendly and the room is clean.

This is in the Yudalsan Mountain region- I learned fast that you will need to climb steps/steep hills to get to this place. But being in this area put me near many major attractions in this area. Breakfast is self-serve (you need to cook your own eggs and wash your own dishes). The cafe has great smoothies but does not observe the posted hours. It was closed after 8 pm. The kitchen roof was leaking due to a lot of rain. Staff and room were great!

The room is pretty small but neat and tidy. It's located up the hill so please expect to walk uphill. I had a nice stay, especially they provide self-help breakfast which I can enjoy either Korean or Western style of breakfast.

There was neither glass nor cup in the room.

The standard of the room and cleanliness is OK, but the trea**ent from staff/owners (?) is lacking and not to be trusted. Had a reservation for two nights through Booking that was secured via credit card, but on arrival they wanted payment directly up front (which of course is OK and we settled the bill for both nights). The next day they wanted to charge us for our rooms again (at a much higher price), and we had to argue a long time both on the price (that was stated on our reservation) and the fact that we had already payed for the full stay. Finally when we refused to pay more, they said "mistake", but no further explanation was given, not even when writing to the guesthouse through the booking app. Also, in our reservation breakfast was supposed to be included (and previous guests praised it), but there was no breakfast at all on both mornings, only a coffee was offerered to us from the adjacent cafe the first morning, the second not even that, and no explanation was given. In our room the electrical installation seemed amateurish with cable wires bare. In conclusion, we hope the real management went on holiday and will be back soon, if not, this guesthouse is very disorganised and should be avoided.

The staff was very nice, and the city view from my room was great.

The accommodation is better than the pictures and reviews. We can see the sunrise and sunset (curtain can black it out). The host is very friendly and kind. He speaks some English with us. We met his family and some friends. We had an amazing time in Mokpo and South West of Korea. We wish we could have stayed even longer. We booked one night and paid for another 2 nights. Literally next to several attractions and easy to taxi around.
