Servigroup Marina Playa

This was a celebration with family for our Diamond Wedding Anniversary. Absolutely fantastic. Everyone enjoyed and the staff were amazing. A wonderful experience. The hotel is situated across tge road from the sea. Beautiful views of coast and Mojacar Pueblo.

Amazing hotel. From the front of house to waiting staff and housekeeping, everyone was friendly and certainly enjoyed their jobs. The room we had was a sea view, it was spotless. The beds were so comfortable and the bathroom was huge! We stayed one night for our wedding anniversary, we had cocktails in the beach bar opposite and in the hotel bar. The buffet dinner and breakfast where outstanding. Well done team marina player, can't recommend you highly enough!

"We had the pleasure of returning to this warm and family-friendly establishment for the second time. The staff, always wearing welcoming smiles, made our stay memorable. Our room number 4000, treated us to breathtaking views of the sea and the inviting pool below. The cleanliness of the hotel was impeccable, a true testament to their dedication. The food and beverage team deserves a solid 5-star rating. Their tireless efforts ensured a constant supply of freshly cooked delights. For those who prefer to venture out, the local bus conveniently stops just outside the hotel, providing easy access to the charming pueblo village. Across the road, two enticing chiringuitos beckon, their tempting aromas guiding the way. For travelers with their own vehicle, there's a wealth of small towns and villages waiting to be explored. Families will especially appreciate the excellent kids' club facilities. It's worth noting that while the drinks were delightful, they could add up over time. It might be worthwhile for the hotel group to consider offering water and soft drinks at a more affordable rate or introducing a drinks card system, akin to what's seen on cruises. Outside the hotel, a quaint sports cafe served up ice-cold pints of Mahou lager, a delightful touch. All in all, a thoroughly enjoyable stay at this hotel. Highly recommended."

What a wonderful hotel, amazing staff. Special mention to Diego in the bar and Diego 2 in the restaurant. From reception to the cleaning staff and handyman fixing the in room fridge all exceptional in friendliness and customer service. We had unobstructed sea view rooms 4000 and 4002. No road noise at all whilst in room so perfect nights sleep. Abundance of sun beds available, never a need to reserve! Drinks prices very reasonable at 10 euros for a bottle of Sauvignon in the restaurant. Buffet service evening meal with limitless choice of starters/salads/soup/cold meats, 5/6 main course choices and a sweet trolley with such lovely colourful deserts and chocolate fountain! You could not go hungry for sure. Only thing I would say is to have the hot food, hotter and warm plates to serve on to. Yes this is a predominantly Spanish guest hotel, which just makes it all the more special. We loved it. Travelled with my 87 year old father and we could not have been made to feel more welcome, thoroughly enjoyed conversing in their native language. Would certainly go back in a heartbeat.

If you want peace and quiet then you will not be disappointed with this hotel. Although I was personally expecting to play Padel? There were no players so, bring your own partner with you. We were there for 1 week 17th Sept until 22nd 2022 and you could see that the hotel was winding down. (It must be mayhem in the Summer here). Nice to walk out of the hotel and cross the road onto the beach. If you do not have transport, don't worry there is a bus stop outside the hotel that can take you up to the Mojacar Pueblo or down the road to Garrucha. If you are seeking different bars to frequent then you need to go down to the town. Entertainment? well, it definitely was different. This is mainly a Spanish hotel from what we heard and they do like to play the music LOUD. We were disappointed dancing, to a Queen tribute songs and then a Michael Jackson tribute songs? What was that about we don't know. with the cabaret staff If you have kids then the hotel has staff that will entertain them and there are play areas. The swimming pools are very clean and spacious. Meals are taken in the hotel restaurant which was hot and had a nice Buffett-style selection to choose from. My wife is very fussy but did eat every day. On the hotel website, it says that there is an Irish Bar. No, it has not been open for a while but they were working inside doing a refurb. The hotel kindly laid on a birthday bottle of Cava with balloons and a nice message. Thank you. Would we stay here again? Yes.

My friend has recently moved to the Mojacar area in Spain, so I booked a package with Loveholidays and chose Servigroup Marina Playa to stay in because it was at the right side of Mojacar to where he lives. My daughter, best friend and I opted for half board because it was a very reasonable add on to our stay and gave us the flexibility to return after a day out to dinner. The hotel is situated between Mojacar and Garrucha, so not in the busier ***** further down the coast, but this suited us fine for our short break. The staff in the hotel are polite and efficient and the rooms are clean and spacious, with balconies you can sit out on. We opted for a sea view, since we'd come all the way to see the sea, but the pool and mountain view rooms would be equally acceptable I think, The room has a mini fridge, but nowhere to make tea or coffee. We travelled during May half term, expecting the hotel to be busy , but it was very quiet, which meant that we often had a pool to ourselves. There are three pools outdoors (one covered and heated) and the hotel is just across the road from a sandy beach and bar. The grounds of the hotel are pretty and well kept, with plenty of loungers to rest on! It very much felt like the season hadn't quite started as some of the bars and restaurants in the hotel were not open, but that didn't bother us at all. Food was plentiful and varied, to cater for European tastes and we enjoyed trying different combinations. Some of the food was luke-warm, but it's a small gripe, considering the huge choice. Rooms are serviced daily, unless you specify not to and the hotel feels clean and spacious. When we visited, most of the guests were Spanish, which was refreshing to see, given that we'd booked a UK package. My daughter's basic Spanish came in handy and was appreciated by the staff. If you want to party, then this probably isn't the hotel for you unless it's different during high season. However, we were really happy with our stay, and I'll definitely return if we come back to visit our friend.
