A special, beautiful and tranquil oasis in the Sicilian countryside. Initially booking for just one week, we actually stayed for two. Lucca and Giuseppina are extremely kind, gentle and welcoming hosts with lots of advice on places to visit. Delicious breakfasts were eaten under a canopy of passionfruit and kept us going all day. You’ll need a car but Case Brizza is ideally placed to visit all the local Baroque towns, lovely beaches and Roman or Greek sites of interest. The local town is within easy reach by car and although not the prettiest has many restaurants and an authentic buzz about it. We visited in early July and enjoyed returning from hot trips to sunbathe under the almond trees or by the eco-friendly pool, watching the butterflies and dragonflies hovering about the water and listening to the birds and crickets. The bedrooms are large, airy and have air conditioning, some with small private courtyards, but overall it feels as if you are staying in a private home and not a boring hotel.
