What kind of hotel doesn't even have shower gel!!!

Great location I enjoy the bed very comfortable and clean rooms but sorry to say but this is another hotel thats not family friendly

For sure ill be staying again the kids loved the swimming pool

Room was clean. Customer service was okay. It was a decent experience but not the best.

I have stayed many places and this was by far the absolute WORST place. The service was shitty but with a smile. They completely blew me off and ignored my requests and concerns. The room we got was nowhere near the same as the room we booked and on top of that..... The train, that goes by every 10 minutes and has to blow ots.horn because of the road crossing, was practically INSIDE our room!!! I have never heard a train so loud in my life. Unbelievable. They refused to change our room and stated that the room type we booked through trip.com doesnt exist, Even though the maid showed it to me and gave me a walk through. I told her At the very least could they move out room to a different location that wasnt on the end where the train was. She said "oh sorry, unfortunately the hotel was built around the train station. Nothing we can do now." Ummmmm yeah you can! Move my room. Anyways... horrible place.

The room is big and new, very nice. Hygiene: very clean Environment: right in the urban area, very good service: good Facilities: complete facilities, everything you should have in a hotel, refrigerator, coffee machine, big room, especially big bathroom Parking in the parking lot opposite, $12 a day Mineral water is not provided, it must be a gold and silver card member to be free

More than just the hotel what we really loved about this Double Tree was the service. We were greeted and valet parked our car. The front desk was great. We wanted some sort of a view, not the parking lot and they were able to deal with that. They spent time with us and clearly wanted us to be happy. We had someone take all our bags to the room and he was great. The maid staff is friendly and when you ask for extra towels and soap they are right on it. All of them could be working at a resort. I really felt appreciated. Our room was spotless, we had a double room, and the beds were very comfortable. We asked for an additional pillow and had it in 10 minutes. The AC works great, it was very hot that day. The bathroom was a decent size and boy was it clean. Everything worked and we were able to get on line very fast. We were tired both days so we just ate there. It was great. From breakfast to dinner we were very happy. They are located right off Highway 99, next door to Modesto Centre Plaza and a movie theater. We did not go to the movies so I have no idea if it is nice. The hotel is only blocks from the Gallo Center for the Arts, State Theatre, and McHenry Mansion. It is nice to just take a walk at night. Modesto is a small town but it is friendly and a great place to find peace and quiet. We always love the warm DoubleTree cookie at check-in. They have a nice outdoor pool and we took full advantage of it. It was clean and very comfortable. The fitness center is well fitted and kept very clean. It was never crowded when we were there. We loved it. We indulged in a few treatments at the AVEDA spa and then had a great, quiet nap. We loved all of it.

We were in town for one night for a friend's retirement party. Check-in was great and we appreciated the warm cookies. However, when we returned back later that night we noticed quite a lot of people outside of the hotel and in the lobby. We went to bed around 11:00 and about a hour or so later the noise started. Neighbors slamming doors and tvs to loud - we realize this happens. Then the loud music started and it sounded like the people upstairs were having a rave. Not only was there LOUD music but someone on a microphone as well. We tried calling to the front desk but our room phone did not work. We lasted until 5:30 am and then we got up and left - it was nuts. We will never go back and may re-think using Hilton hotels.

Our stay was comfortable. The train was a bit much, but tolerable. Beds were cozy and location was convenient. Used valet to avoid walking anywhere downtown. We would stay again if coming to Modesto. Staff was professional and polite. They recommended a great restaurant next door.

We paid around $235 for one night and we got the two queen beds and the room was DISGUSTING. We had to wear shoes the whole time in the room. Carpet was filthy and not at all like the pictures. The bathroom was at a different level of sickening. Since we only had to stay for one night we just bared thru it. Bathtub was so yucky. Anyways … wasted my money here but oh well. Only thing my daughter loved was the cookies at check in. This was the only highlight. Avoid this hotel if you can.

Was hoping for the restaurant, but it was closed. Limited menu from the bar but you had to eat at chairs/tables around the lobby area. Was not inviting to do that as many people were crowded around the bar and noisy. It is best if you stay here to eat at one of the restaurants a few blocks away. Parking is in a ramp across the street and they charge for it. I don't understand a hotel charging for parking. I would have expected more from a doubletree.

We stayed her two nights in the middle of February for business. There was two weddings going on in the hotel at the time so the hotel was quite busy. The location of the hotel was perfect for finding things downtown to do and we found some really nice places for dinner and lunch nearby. I was able to walk to the Gallo Center which is where our work was at that weekend and felt safe. Honestly I never heard any of the trains anyone mentions but maybe I'm just hard of hearing. We were on the 5th floor facing the tracks and I never heard anything? The rooms were comfortable and clean and I loved the showers. Would I stay here again, yes definitely.

Don't expect a Hilton experience. The rooms are okay, but the service at the reception is just barely polite and more desinterested. Breakfast is ok-ish, but again not what I am used to at an Hilton, more like the breakfast you get at a roadside inn.
