The property is immaculate and the location is amazing for exploring the area around Modena. We had issues with the room provided not being what we had booked and this was advised that all rooms were the same, but clearly an accessible room is not the same, as we booked a room with a bathtub for a reason. We were told the Ferrari convention had taken up most of the rooms so we couldn't be accommodated as they had already placed gifts in these rooms yet most had not yet checked in. We did not accept this and after much discussion we were moved to a room that we had actually booked that had a bathtub. We had paid for a suite with a bathtub, so that it was we should be provided. I thanked the reception staff for the change, as a matter of courtesy, to be told that normally people don't complain about the rooms they are given in Italy. After travelling extensively through Italy, I am not so sure I agree with that. We also asked for a bucket of ice one night and were advised that we couldn't as they had all been reserved for the 'Ferrari people' for their dinner. As paying guests I would have expected we were just as entitled to a bucket of ice. They gave us 2 glasses of ice. On the matter of breakfast, we found the variety to be good, but everything was cold. At 7am when they opened, the bacon, eggs and chicken was out and stone cold which is a huge disappointment. However, the staff in the restaurant were great, and I feel that the reception staff were probably under pressure from the large Ferrari convention and so we just weren't important enough. Essentially, this is a budget hotel in a great location and well worth consideration as a base. Our stay wasn't in any way ruined by these issues, and I would still recommend the hotel but ensure you are insistent to get hat you paid for.

Although I've said 4 star that is for the hotel, the Restaurant is a clear 5 out of 5. Superb food with great wine and superb staff, thanks to Francesco for his food advice (Excellent) and Bernardo for his wine advice (spot on). Hotel really nice, however bar was not so good. If you leave your credit card details at reception when you book in why do you have to queue at the bar till, pay and then go and sit down to get your drink..........

Great hotel. Can’t complain about anything much. Bed was a bit hard but that’s a preference thing. Very clean and super modern hotel. Highly recommend the breakfast. You want for nothing. You can see them freshly carving the ham etc. the only thing I would say is that it states it is in the centre of Modena. It is not. It is an uninteresting 45 minute walk but only a 10 min taxi drive to the main square. Note there are only black uber which are really expensive. Local taxis cost around €12. One other thing - because it’s so modern things have a habit of turning off if you’re not moving around. Including the air con! However if you speak to reception they can override this so your room stays at the temp you require.

We've stayed over night and booked two rooms on the 7th floor. The hotel is modern, clean and unfortunately we could not try the in-house restaurant. Dishes are only served in the restaurant, so for families that have to eat dinner a bit earlier - you're out of luck as the restaurant opens at 7:30 PM. And the bar is serving sandwiches and sweets only. The rooms were spacious enough, the bathroom clean and functional. The concierges were very friendly and supportive even though the EV charging stations did not work as expected. (The stations aren't run by the hotel itself and the iOS App didn't work. The hotel should make sure the stations are usable especially when they are claiming they have charging infrastructure on site.) So while they didn't succeed I appreciate their efforts to help. A trip to the next Tesla Supercharger takes around 15 minutes one way. The breakfast was a well sized continental breakfast offering a variety of products including different kinds of bread. Unfortunately, the coffee had to be fetched from one of the coffee machines. If you expect fantastic coffee in Italy, yes, but not during the breakfast here. It's a good place and we would choose the RMH Raffaello again if needed. We were impressed at the nice design of the hotel, friendly staff and cleanliness.

The hotel completed their renovation successfully in September 2023 and I found it a great place to stay for my 2 nights in Modena. Well done, silent, has parking, easy access and good breakfast. I will definitely return when in Modena next year.

The room was what you would expect. Comfortable and clean. However the breakfast was very poor. At 09:00 on a Tuesday. the only bread that remained was 6 small white rolls. They had run out of all other bread. I had to ask twice for brown/granary bread. The first time I was ignored the second time when I was more insistent after which I was provided bread that was frozen on the inside. The cooked food was cold and greasy. The scrambled eggs had congealed and the cold fried eggs (approx 12) had been piled up in a small bowl some yolks had broken. A cold, congealed greasy mess. The ‘chef’ who was watching was not interested in refreshing the cooked items even the bacon that was down to two pieces. In addition there was no boiling water for tea. They had also run out of muesli and most of the nuts and seeds. To top it off the staff were disinterested and not very helpful, not helped by the fact not one of the staff could speak even a little English. Two other couples were also having great difficulty in communicating when requesting missing items. Overall there was nothing to recommend about this experience. Very, very shabby.

Don’t stay there!!!! In room: bad shampoo and worthless conditioner, might as well haven’t bothered. Aircon not possible to set the fan to a lower power. Breakfast: bad and grumpy service. Stayed for 2 night. No normal tea. No brea and only the choise of 3 whert2 were vanilla or decaf. No earl grey or breakfast tea. No muesli, no bread but hard and old. No fresh cout fruit but can fruit. All in all a very bad experience.

The hotel is located in a quiet area some distance from the city centre, yet it is well-connected with the city. The room was very modern, well-equipped and, most of all, clean. High quality mattress and comfortable pillows ensured good-night sleep. I could not say a bad word about breakfasts - a good choice of fresh and tasty food. The hotel is definitely worth its price. If you choose Raffaello Hotel, I recommend the Living Bar Bistrot for food and drinks. I was especially surprised by „Van Gogh” signature drink by bartender Alex - spicy, but very well-balanced. It has multiple flavor notes that complement each other - definitely worth a try and visually intriguing.

We stayed here for two nights as we drove around Emilia-Romagna. We chose this hotel because it was close enough to Modena to visit in the evening, but also had easy access to the rest of the region with free parking. The parking lot is a public lot, but it is free and seemed perfectly safe. The hotel itself was brand new, the rooms were spacious and modern, the bathroom and the shower were great with good water pressure, and the staff were very helpful. The restaurant on the first floor and the breakfast included with the stay were both great with very nice and helpful staff. We did not have any complaints about the hotel, but it is definitely geared more towards business travelers than tourist travelers. The only other thing to mention is while it is only a 45 minute walk to the center of Modena, the walk itself (which we did one of the days) is quite unpleasant. Taking a taxi or driving from the hotel are much better options.
