The hotel is in a great location, just across the road from the lake. The hotel's restaurant is probably the most lively place around. Although there is an electric radiator, it still feels a bit cold. The bathroom is relatively simple.

Moana Lake is right opposite the hotel, with beautiful scenery. The hotel's front desk and restaurant are together. The restaurant's dishes are good. The boss will also introduce you to the route map for short walks around. It is very good and is the first choice for local travel.

I have travelled with my family around South Island for 11 days and stayed across 7 premises (hotels/motel/resort/airbnb). I will rate this property lowest and possibly the only property I put it for negative ratings. Starting with the cleaning quality, it is the worst - spiders, small insects, cow webs across the room and bathroom. Bathroom is so small that you can’t fit kids in shower. Wash basin is one of the smallest I have seen in my life. This property needs massive renovation. I don’t understand how can they charge $180 per night for such quality.

Fantastic views of the lake, a well equipped room but we found the corridor outside our room very noisy. You could every footstep and conversation. The service in the restaurant was excellent, the food was ok. The continental breakfast was very basic so we skipped it after the 1st day. Overall we enjoyed our stay.

Great location. Room was overall tidy and clean. Facilities as advertised. Had chromecast in our room. Restaurant has a very good vibe and ambience. Thanks to the Chef for accommodating our dietary requirements. Overall it was comfortable and we enjoyed our stay. Service was good. Lovely staff. Vaibhavi and Annamac were very helpful and professional. xo. can be improved: The photos advertised when we booked weren’t exact but we had a very good view room regardless. Also back of blinds had stale cobwebs and dusty top of bedside drawers. I guess the breakfast options can be more as well.

We stayed at Hotel Lake Brunner for one night for our Tranzalpine package. The hotel picked us up from the train & took us back for our return journey. We enjoyed an afternoon platter, hot tub, dinner & a cooked breakfast- all part of the deal. The menu for dinner was extensive & everything for all meals was delicious. The room was spacious & warm with a great bed. We really enjoyed our stay here with lovely views & an easy walk to the lake & walks by the lake. The highlight for us though were the genuinely nice & down to earth staff. Thank you to each of you for your wonderful customer service - always with a smile.

Absolutely amazing food! Hospitality amazing !!! Served by Tasman amazing service !!!! Also Sanju was very helpful and friendly !!! Beautiful Hotel with fantastic view 10/10!!! ❤️ highly recommend to locals and tourists ! Menu has fantastic variety !!! Just amazing !!
