Great hostel! Very welcoming, friendly, helpful staff. Se habla español. Everything works, and it's a great place to make new friends. Super glad this place exists. Thanks to the owners & managers for fostering community & supporting artists via this hostel! (Don't believe the negative reviews-- sounds like people who have never stayed at a hostel before. Hostels are aren't 5-star resorts, they're often very low-profit margin businesses supported by owners' & managers good hearts & love for building community)

This place houses local vagrants who are disrespectful to paying guests and cut up when the owners are not around. Not very kind to foreigners. They offer showers but they are in disrepair. There are better showers else-wear for a few dollars more.

This was my first hostel experience & it amazing! I was in a cabin and loved the cozy space to myself. The bathrooms were close & clean. The bed & pillows were so comfortable. Jed was welcoming & helpful. I felt right at home! Saved so much money & loved my stay!

THIS PLACE IS HORRIBLE, WITH *****, DRUNKS ABUSIVE PEOPLE, AND A HORRIBLE STAFF! They mocked my trump hat and gave me a hard time. Someone tried to sell me pot, teens were out of control. Saw a guy urinate right near the door. There were some normal people there . But, i would not bring my child there again.

While there is nothing negative about the hostel I give one star because of manager Zed. Briefly he put in writing he would send me $30 through Apple Pay re a dinner. He never did although I repeatedly asked. As I understand he was spoken to by the owner, a helpful man. What a disgusting situation, I was told IN WRITING TWICE I would receive it. Leaves a bitter taste.

The Lizard always feels like home. The atmosphere is very relaxed and friendly, and there’s always an interesting selection of people to meet and chat with. The rooms and bathroom facilities are always clean and it feels very secure. The kitchen is a little cosy, but it’s clean and there are plenty of refrigerators. Charlie & Zed are great hosts, they’re very interesting and engaging guys. The place won’t be to everyone’s liking but, as it says on a bench outside, the Lizard is cheap, but worth it!

Fantastic place with great prices. Has a 60s/70s vibe to it. Stayed in a private room with 2 sets of bunks. There is a shared bath house but latching wooden doors on shower stalls. Well equipped common kitchen. Lots of frig space for food.

This place feels like home, it's really cheap and Zed is amazing. It's very close to Arches and has a nice kitchen that can be used by everyone including coffee and fridge/microwave. Bathrooms are ok and there are many available all over the property.
