All the inns were nice. When you eat outside and return to the inn, welcome back! I was warmed by the warm words. It's a nice inn.

We arrived at the hotel & was greeted by the staff so warmly as if we were their long lost relatives. The receptionist spoke perfect English during check in & voluntarily upgraded our room. I suppose they were informed that we were there to celebrate my birthday. The place was clean, the service was excellent & matching that of a 5 star hotel. Upon settling down, we went straight to the rotenburo, which is the outdoor onsen, a hot spring bath, that overlooked the mountain & nature. As the rotenburo was situated on the mountain top above the Ryoken, we had to take a cable car which was connected within the hotel in order to reach it. The kaiseki meal for dinner was sumptuous & uniquely Japanese of course. Every dish was explained in detail with much effort. The diners were also seated spaciously in the common dining hall with lots of privacy between them. We were also entertained by a lady staff who sang a Japanese folk song that created that atmosphere which complemented the authentic Japanese meal. It was a relaxing & wonderful Ryoken for us. We were supposed to stay for 2 nights. Unfortunately, we had to abort the stay as my mom had passed on the same night. The staff was so helpful to arrange for us a taxi to send us to the Kochi airport at 0300 hrs to catch the first flight back to Singapore where we came from. What was surprising was that the hotel even refunded us the one night room rate which we had paid but were unable to continue with the stay. We will highly recommend visitors to stay there if they are visiting that area. It is only an hour train ride from Kochi train station & to alight at Oboke station. There’s a direct bus from the Oboke station or you can call a cab which cost about ¥300 which will take about 20 min to arrive. The cab’s companies telephone numbers are written at train the station desk for visitors’ information. Thank you to all staff at Hotel Kazurabashi in Iya Valley. I used it for two days a night on gold soil. There were few guests, whether it was influenced by the new corona, but I had a blissful time with the cleanliness of the room and the deliciousness of the dishes. It is healed by the hot spring of the rental state (laughs), and it seems that you can ride the busy day 々 again from tomorrow. We will see you again. Thank you.

A small and ingenious accommodation business travel, the service staff is very kind, breakfast is agreed in advance, one person, and hot food is provided according to the time, the equipment in the room seems to be fully updated and spacious, excellent value for money.

We just returned from a quick but memorable trip to Shikoku. We stayed at Kotohira Kadan for our first night since it's conveniently situated to enjoy some of the finest Sanuki Udon noodle restaurants in the area (we chose not to explore Kotohira-gu (aka ”Konpira-san”) - that will be reserved for a next visit.) While we enjoy modern rooms as much as the next person, we also appreciate traditional architecture, furnishings and decor... and Chouseiden (長生殿), Kotohira Kadan's top room, oozed history and tradition in a way that left us with a lasting impression. Chouseiden is one of a handful of stand-alone villas at the ryokan, and was inhabited by the local Lord many years ago. It's also liberally adorned with the art collection of the original owner Kotohira Kadan, including ancient folding screens, sliding doors and hanging scrolls that were produced by famous artists. It's so history-laden that it is bound to creep some people out... I don't think Mrs. KI-NRT would ever choose to live in such a room, but as an ”experience” it was well worth the privilege of trying out Chouseiden. It does have the comforts of a modern ryokan/hotel, such as toilets with washlets, fast WiFi and Western-style beds, and boasts 152m² of total living space, which is generous by any definition of a flagship ryokan room. The only drawback was the lack of a private Onsen (natural hot springs) bath in the room - something we've come to expect at top-level ryokans, at least (and especially) in their top rooms. Some of the standard rooms do offer in-room Onsen baths, however, which might tip the scales to the non-villa rooms' favor for some people. As a consolation, Kotohira Kadan offers the use of their private bath (which can be rented out by the hour), and it's free for guests staying at one of the Hanare Villa rooms. Food was served in our room, and it was a delight. While it's not the best ryokan meal we've ever had, we appreciated the efforts taken by the kitchen staff to offer seasonal and local dishes that gave us a good taste of Kagawa. In particular, the deep-fried Pike Conger with simmered vegetables doused in a dashi broth was unique and flavorful, as well as the Red Sea Bream Shabu Shabu (Hot Pot.) Breakfast was also varied and bountiful, although nothing really blew us away, which is just as well, since we were planning to go on an Udon tasting expedition beginning later that morning. The grounds are not massive, but there's a pretty little pond with some interesting vegetation around it. And the architecture of the Hanare Villas (including Chouseiden) give Kotohira Kadan a real sense of place given its proximity to Kotohira-gu. Keep in mind that the property is quite large when it comes to room count (43 total), so there may be some walking between your room and the main reception and lounge areas (from Chouseiden, you'll need to walk outside for a short distance - fine if the weather is cooperating.) Conveniently located near the interchange, with Aeon, Starbucks, and Joyful nearby. The hotel is new and clean, both the front desk and the room. I was surprised at the size of the LCD TV. I was able to connect to YouTube and log in with my Hulu account, and the free Wi-Fi in the building was stress-free, fast, and very comfortable. The large public bath on the first floor was also clean, spacious, and comfortable. I would like to use it again if I have the opportunity.

As a pleasure of corona, I am hobbying around Shikoku business hotels. This time I was taken care of by this hotel facing JR Marugame Ekimae shopping street. About access, when you go to Navi Street by private car, you are guided to the north street of the hotel and instructed to go to the arcade shopping street by car! This is impossible, so I turned U and returned and arrived at the parking lot on the hotel site in the wild can. Check in smoothly like a kind front desk and go to the upper floor room. From my room, I could see the Seto Inland Sea and Seto Ohashi bridge, and it was the best view of the super hotel I have stayed in. Perhaps, but can you see Marugame Jo castle from the other room? The hot springs by men and women were able to relax with good quality of springs. Because of the corona cherry blossoms, I was reluctant to eat out and became a convenience store lunch, but there was a behavior of udon noodles as a night meal. Thank you. I had a choice of udon noodles at breakfast buffet, so I received it without any trouble. I also had curry, so I will try curry udon next time!

It is an inn that cannot be booked easily, but it was empty by chance, so I booked and stayed for one night. It is an inn with soba shop in the secret of nothing. The staff are very friendly and hospitality is high in a calm atmosphere inn. The room was very large because I chose two cherry blossom baths and pottery baths in the room, and I enjoyed two baths while looking at the magnificent view from the bath. What should be more characteristic is cooking. The meal is a meal in the dining room, but all of them are partitioned in a private room, and there is a Irori in each private room, and you can behave local dishes. The staff at the meal were also local, and I was very satisfied with the history and meals of the soya, and I was very satisfied with the fun and fun. It was the best luxury two days. It is a hot spring inn that I want to visit again.

We stayed for two nights and booked Kaiseki cuisine for dinner at the hotel on the first night. The kaiseki cuisine provided by the hotel is satisfactory in terms of dishes and portion size, and the restaurant environment is very spacious.
