The room was very nice and the bathroom/ toilet areas were clean. Please note that the stairs is quite narrow and steep which may bring a challengeto take a big suitcase upstairs. The staff was very nice and helpfull. With a bit of help from our phones we could communicate that which we did not understand in Japanese and/or English. There is no bed, there are tatami partitions. You need to get the mattress from the closet and wait to make the bed. The room is relatively small. There is no bathroom in the toilet, only a toilet. You can only take a shower using the open-air shower on the balcony (the weather is cold at night in May). The hotel is in a great location, very cost-effective, the room is large and clean, the bed and pillows are very comfortable, we slept very comfortably! If the hotel counter staff had good English communication skills, they would have better communication!
