My stay at Mercure Kyoto Miyazu Resort & Spa was incredible! The location was very good. There is a mall across the road where you can buy groceries clothes etc and there are several reasonably priced restaurants on the top floor. Also it’s like 10 mins drive to the Amanohashidate Viewland. The hotel itself does not have any restaurants but it supplies free coffee for in house guests. Parking is free and reservation is not needed. Staff were friendly and at least one of receptionists can speak English.

We stayed at this hotel for two nights. We are impressed in their dinner service, not only the food is very delicious but also there are different meal sets for two days. In the meanwhile, the location of this hotel is close to the railway station; very convenient for us to take the buses and trains to visit the scenic points.

Our family enjoy the public bath here and have very nice view looking out the window. Location is very convenient, is just opposite the train station. The only down side is most of the shop nearby close after 5pm and there is no 24 hrs convenient shop nearby.

The hardware is very good, except that it is a bit far to walk there compared to other hotels, about 5 minutes, but there is a shuttle bus within the specified time, but it feels negotiable, which is good. It is also sent to the train station during the non-service hours. The car is very fast and it only takes 1 minute to get there. The room I booked has a bath, but I didn't go to the public hot spring.

The building is also very historical, so there is no elevator, because I kneel with heavy luggage to pay attention to the building. It is more difficult to walk up a staircase. Since the hotel has some history, the stairs are also less inclined, so if you are too big, there is a little trouble. Breakfast is a traditional Japanese breakfast. Don't expect too much. The bathroom is disappointing, because it is an old bathroom. So the toilet is also the first ordinary bathroom I have used in Japan. The heating is not enough. The heating in the lobby is not enough. The hot spring bathroom can only be shared by three to four people.

The room is very clean, very close to the station and close to the sea. The sea is very beautiful! You can also go to the nearby hotel to soak in the hot springs, but the room is a bit smaller, there is no hair dryer, the air conditioner and refrigerator sound a bit loud, but it's okay, cheaper and clean.

This hotel is very historic and clean. If you can't live in Amanohashidate, it's pretty convenient. It's about 15 minutes walk to the train station. There is a department store nearby and there are many restaurants upstairs to choose from. The breakfast is Japanese, simple and delicious. The counter clerk can speak a little English, so communication is not a big problem. The toilets are shared and very clean. Most of the guests are Japanese and very polite.

We booked a Japanese family room and we arrived about 6:00 pm. Our room was on 3rd floor, when the lift door opens, a strong fishy smell. The corridor were not air conditioned and it was hot. Our room is at the corner, had a stale atmosphere. It still summer and weather is incredibly hot, it would be helpful if the staff had prepared the room and cool it before we arrived. AC is not working well, the room was still not cool when we slept. We could not rest well. The mattress & bedding were not comfortable. Breakfast was ok. Overall it’s not worth a night for SGD423.
