Hilton Garden Inn Toronto Airport

Mississauga|1.02km from Plaza Premium Lounge (International Departures, Terminal 1)
During my stay in the Hilton Gardens hotel at Toronto airport mistakes were made. Let me start with my own. I didn't realize there are several Hilton hotels at the airport and took the shuttle to the wrong one. Let me tell you: Canada is not made for pedestrians and it was a cumbersome walk to the correct Hilton on foot. Also: because of the name Garden I expected a hotel surrounded by a lush garden. No such thing. It's on a bleak, grey, asphalt area with no garden or any features at all. Or do they consider the giant car parks to be ”gardens”? Another mistake by me: this being the first visit to Canada, perhaps I should be prepared better. However, the breakfast at Hilton Gardens is not suitable at all for vegans. Smoothies have cow milk in them and other options are just sweets disguised as actual food. As Canada is not designed for pedestrians, there's no supermarket anywhere and thus I went seriously hungry. Next it's the hotels turn. Hotel airports need good sound insulation to keep the airplane noise out. And indeed: not an airplane can be heard in the room. However, the air conditioning is the loudest I have ever encountered. Parking a car with a petrol engine in the room and running it would be more quiet! Luckily, the airco can be turned off. However, the frig cannot be turned off and it kept me awake basically all night. And the worst thing is: when I opened it in the morning hoping to find a mini bar, it turns out it's empty! Why waste so much electricity and noise to cool an empty space? How about just running it if in use to cool stuff? On top of the noise of the a frig a constant 24 hour droning mechanical noise could be heard in my room (#1516). It sounded like a factory or perhaps a huge aircon unit on top of the roof?

Sheraton Gateway Hotel in Toronto International Airport

Mississauga|0.88km from Plaza Premium Lounge (International Departures, Terminal 1)
Whether it's hotel bedding or not, the size is very good. Great for an overnight stay when you're away in the evening and don't know where to go. The price is rather expensive. The price is the cheapest when you first search, so if you plan to get off at Pearson Airport late at night, it would be a good idea to pick this place. At first, I couldn't get used to the Canadian shower, so if I turn it clockwise from the left, warm water comes out, but there is no sign. It seems to be an implicit choice for design, but I'm telling you in case there are people like me. For your reference, those who got off at Terminal 1 take the airport subway (free) and move to Terminal 3, go down one floor and go straight to the Sheraton Hotel. I asked people and moved with two bags and a backpack. I want others to suffer less, so I'm posting a review. The front staff were very friendly. I had to use an international call because cell phone roaming didn't work properly, but they kindly recognized it. The number you gave me was wrong, but I came to my senses from then on, and I was able to use the international call method from within the room. In case there is someone like me, when making an international call from Canada to Korea, the number is 011+82-. Roaming was not going well, so I followed the staff's recommendation to remove and insert the SIM card, but I did not know the SIM card password, so I made an international call (114 customer center) to Korea. I think the staff explained that it was $16 per call (1 minute), but in reality, I had to put in about $12 for 1 minute and $2 for each additional minute at the pay phone. I thought I had lost my actual phone, so I took various measures, but there wasn't much way to connect it than I thought. Fortunately, I found my cell phone in another pocket of my bag, and at UP Express, I went on a shoveling trip to my heart's content (?!) carrying two luggage bags and a backpack even to places other than my destination. Still, the trip is a way to have memories that remain while suffering, and I passed it over sloppily, but it must have been because I didn't have a companion. Anyway, if you come back to the accommodation review and open the curtains instead, you can make eye contact with people waiting at the airport, and since it is an airport, it is a bit noisy in the morning. Personally, I tend to give a lot of tips to the people who clean the hotel, but the people here greeted me with a smile every time I made eye contact, and it was nice that it was actually clean. I bought a small trans device, but it can be used in most countries, so it would be nice to have one of these. Security in Canada is very good, but there are quite a few homeless people in the station, so please take note. I'll also upload a picture of the UP Express for your reference. The ticket price is different for each station, but for me, the UP Express at Pearson Airport (Terminal 1, since I was in Terminal 3, I take the airport train and go to Terminal 1 again) is right where you can see it when you get off at Terminal 1. Just in case, exchange a little in cash and bring it with you. In my case, I think it was about 5 dollars and 30 cents. It seems to operate frequently from 12:00 PM to 3:00 PM~ I also upload a photo of the cafe at Union Station~ So I'll just write this in the hope that it helps.

The second time I stayed, the room was quite big, the parking was free, and it was close to the airport. The Denny’s restaurant on the first floor produced a good meal, and there was a rare slow beef stew!

The room is clean and tidy, the front desk is very nice, there is a shuttle, I made an appointment for the shuttle at 6:00 the next day, and I asked the front desk for breakfast at 6:00, but the front desk let me have breakfast a few minutes earlier, the shuttle driver was very punctual and waited in advance. The hanging basket and coffee in the lobby can make me spend time with jet lag happily.

It's quite satisfactory. There is a free airport shuttle service, especially for breakfast, in addition to donut milk and two boiled eggs. Very clean and hygienic. You can ask the front desk for things like toothpaste and toothbrush directly.
