We really enjoyed our stay in the Sky Garden Mini Hotel. The room was very comfortable, clean and quiet and great to relax in. There is also a spacious private balcony overlooking a courtyard and palm trees, as well as AC. The hotel is a stone's throw from the beach and restaurants. The owner was very friendly but discreet and breakfast was simple but tasty - a Sri Lankan omelette (or however you wanted your eggs), as well as fresh fruit and toast. The rooms are exactly as pictured, although more modern showers have since been installed. Overall this is a great choice if you're looking for somewhere cheap as a base in Mirissa.

Guys, arriving at this hotel was just great for us! Not enough words to convey all our emotions from the hotel. If ever again (or more than once) I will return to Sri Lanka, it will definitely be the Wavelengh Hotel! The owner of the hotel named Nishan is a big-letter man. Very soulful, kind, infinitely honest. He helped us always in everything: searching for cheap tours, shops, cheap rental of tuck-tucks and so on ... He took us to the fish market, helped to buy fresh, inexpensive seafood that on the evenings we personally prepared - it was incredibly delicious. Every evening they spent together a shower evening for conversations and a glass of Roma. Every morning Nishan personally cooks incredible breakfasts for all the guests of the hotel, never would have thought that in 2 weeks I would not be tired of eating fried eggs in the morning (in different forms), but every morning it was wonderfully delicious! The hotel staff is as operational as possible in all matters, kind, responsive, never leaves unnoticed. The rooms are always clean, fresh, comfortable. At first request - staff cleans up, changes towels, bed linen (although every day). My friend's wife celebrated her birthday at the hotel. The hotel staff prepared an incredible table with fruit and wine in the afternoon, and in the evening decorated the chain with flowers, balls and very warmly congratulated the birthday party for the most delicious personally prepared dinner.For his own, sufficiently saturated, for travel life, I will repeat, Never met such a great reception. Nishan, if you are reading my review now, know - you are one of the best people in my life! Thank you and your whole team for everything! We will definitely come back! As for the location of the hotel, it is also very convenient in terms of pedestrian access to the ocean, a lot of cafes, supermarket with products, alco market, spa salon. The kindest people in Marissa! The room was clean, modern, and ready for us when we arrived. The owner was even kind enough to upgrade us for free when he learned it was our honeymoon! Breakfast was prepared daily with coffee and tea. The beach is less than 1 minute from the building, literally directly across from the main entrance but on the opposite side of the road. Being on the other side of the road, it isn't loud at night with the partying going on at the beach so if you crash early it's the perfect location. The local workers even helped my wife and I get to Hikkadua safely. If you use the PickMe app in certain locations, the local Tuk Tuks won't let them pick you up. As our driver got shoed away at the beach entrance, the local Tuk Tuk alpha got all pissed and was trying to force his cab on us aggressively. The workers back at the Ocean Reach called someone they knew who came and scooped us minutes later. That kindness will never be forgotten! Don't expect luxury but this place is exactly what you need to enjoy Marissa!

More of a home stay feeling than a hotel. Not on the beach, but an easy walk. The room was fairly spartan and had open slats to the outside so we had more than a few “visitors”. However the older gentleman who ran the place could not have been nicer. He went out of his way to be extremely accommodating, and his home cooked breakfasts were very sweet- he seemed genuinely concerned that we enjoyed the meal and offered more if he thought we might still be hungry.
