Sri Sharavi Beach Villas & Spa - with 43 Metre Saltwater Infinity Pool

We had a superb stay at the best location, the team of staff are generous with their time, kind and endlessly helpful. We loved our breakfast (everything on offer- western, continental, fruit platters and super tasty rice porridge), lunch (calamari & samosas were a favourite) and fresh caught fish dinners all delicious and beautifully presented, whilst watching the rolling ocean (we were not here for a flat calm sea). The long pool is divine and so magical next to the beach. Our rooms were amazing, with views of the sea, and beautiful gardens, and the layout was extremely comfortable and creatively designed to feel spacious and airey. Cloud like linens and with great bathrooms.And do try the shoulder massage. It simply feels like paradise.

We spent 3 wonderful nights at this beautiful boutique resort . We stayed in the signature ocean suite overlooking the huge pool and beach which is just amazing . From the moment we arrived the staff , ably lead by Chamara , made sure we were happy . The service is friendly, happy and attentive - always with a smile. Breakfast is included and we loved sitting on the patio beach front eating our meal. We had dinner here twice - the food is brilliant - thanks to the wonderful chef !! We were celebrating our anniversary so very thrilled when we were presented with a delicious chocolate cake for dessert Special Thanks to Surenga who kept us very happy at breakfast time and Madu who looked after us at dinner - such lovely hospitality! As you can tell , we loved our stay and highly recommend this beautiful oasis

We had such a wonderful stay at the Beach Villas, as 3 couple on holidays together. Despite it being the rainy season, we couldn’t have been more chilled out in the surrounds and even enjoyed bouts of sunshine which of course were spent poolside. Breakfast and dinner were sensational (leaving no room for lunch after making the most of hoppers in the morning and delicious crab curries and seafood feasts cooked to our liking in the evening!) - snacks in between were also available if peckish. The spa was lovely and I enjoyed 3 treatments across my 3 days. Our rooms and common living spaces were lovely and comfortable and the staff were just the sweetest; all were very accommodating of our every request or just generally with their service. Highly recommend - you won’t want to leave!

HOTEL IS A SCAM! IT IS A GUESTHOUSE NOT 5* HOTEL. IT HAS NO STAR RATING! HOMEYMOON RUINED!!!! We booked online from the UK for our honeymoon as all booking websites stated this was a 5* hotel. We picked it due to this and it was the most expensive hotel in the area (even more than the Marriott Weligama/ we had just arrived from Anatara resort) and our longest stay. On arrival we were so underwhelmed. The property grounds were not tidy with leaves everywhere, the bathroom was run down with no amenities like a vanity or dental kit, the towels were not hotel and poor quality. The bar staff hassled us to buy drinks as we walked around. No 5* service. Breakfast was poor. We raised our concerns with the manager in the first instance and enquired about checking out early as we were on our honeymoon and had paid a lot for 5* and this was clearly not the case. The manager agreed to upgrade the room but we decided to sleep on it and decide in the morning. I then woke up with dead mosquitos on my pillow (first time in all of our Sri lanka 3 week stay) despite the mosquito net. Breakfast was poor quality with no fresh fruit and options of cappuccino at an extra charge! This is not 5*.. They had no complimentary activities like yoga, you also cannot surf on the beach! We immediately expressed checking out early due to disappointment and getting a refund for the remaining nights. The manager Kenny then stated we booked through a third party so we needed to contact them to check but had we booked directly with the hotel he would have refunded us. So we proceeded to do this. The third party agreed for a refund based on this ( we have it in writing) and said that they had made contact with the hotel and that they had agreed for a refund for us. We then proceeded to book an alternative hotel (as we had confirmation we booked the Marriot). We proceeded to get our bags and tell Kenny this, however he disputed the refund saying he had not stated this to us or third party and that he will not refund us. He called the higher manager who suggested our experience was due to booking an inferior room and 5* is subjective so we would not be refunded. It was sad and upsetting and has ruined our honeymoon. Upon checking into the Marriot, they advised us the property had no star rating we then emailed the official Sri Lankan tourism board who said the same (photos attached). Please note my other reviews I rarely leave bad reviews!

After a busy trip around sri lanka, Sri Sharavi was just what we needed. From the moment we arrived we felt welcomed and looked after. The rooms are absolutely beautiful overlooking the ocean that has waves flowing day and night. The pool was fantastic as were the happy hour coctails. The food reminded me of early fine dining days in Australia, the fresh fish was magnificent. We liked the location , being away from the busy part of Mirrisa, but still close enough to jump in a tuk tuk to explore. Special mention to Suranga and Mudu, we loved your service and chats. We promised ourselves - 7 years ago - that if we could ever return to Sri Sharavi, we would. We did! What a wonderful 5 night return stay at Sri Sharavi and to find that it was just as magical as we remembered it to be. From our warm welcome meeting with Mr Chamora Chathura we knew we were in safe, professional hands - it felt like coming back home. It is very hard to describe the 'Ocean Signature Suite'; it is the expensive option, but it really does deliver and felt worth the splurge. As a lap swimmer, there isn't much you can say about a 43m pool that almost feels your own private space, I haven't swum in better (shout out to the young gentlemen for relentlessly keeping it sparkling and leaf free at all times of the day!). The included breakfast is an absolute feast and kept us going all day with Sri Lankan and Western options (as a couple we found a choice of each worked well). In the evening, we decided to make the most of our private balcony and ate in. While prices are high end, the quality is very good and feels somewhat justified. It was so lovely to see many familiar faces and to meet new friends too. Thank you so much (Madu, Suranga, Gayan, Dimutu, Lahira, Sajeewa, Sameera, Mithun) and to everyone else at Sri Sharavi for making our stay so special once again.
