We were very disappointed to find that the hotel was closed when we arrived on Friday, June 21, 2024. We had planned to order food, visit the nearby Cinnamon Museum, and return for a meal while enjoying the spectacular view from Mirissa Hill. However, it wasn't a total waste of time because the Cinnamon Museum turned out to be very interesting. We spent about an hour at the museum. It is well laid out and tells the story of Sri Lanka's cinnamon industry very well.

Have been returning here for several years and have always gone away wishing we could have stayed longer. The villa is lovely in every way with amazing architecture and art to make it a museum by itself. The staff led by Thilak, Aruna and Chef Mahesh are fantastic by ensuring we are well taken care of during our stay. The kids loved the villa and spent a lot of time playing with the house pet Tilly who is the boss lady of Mirissa Hills. Everything about this place is lovely with access to both Weligama and Mirissa. Look forward to coming back.

The tour was very well presented and informative. Ananda, our guide was very happy to answer all my questions and extremely knowledgeable about the subject. The tour started with showing us the cinnamon plants, flowers, seeds and how to cultivate and harvest them. From there we went to the workshop and we were showed the various phases of the making what we buy in our supermarkets. We found it fascinating. Remember this a cinnamon tour only, and the only things you see are about cinnamon. If you are not interested in cinnamon is probably not worth going. After the tour we went for tea at the hotel in the plantation. Lovely views. Really worth the money we paid.

One of the best escapes from the bustling tourist path. 'Tilly,' the in-house German Shepherd doggo, was the best companion throughout the holiday. Stepping into the master bedroom might give you the feeling of entering a mini-museum with showpieces not typically found in a bedroom. Nonetheless, the place is exceptionally beautiful, and the evenings are truly stunning. It's an ideal setting for a friends/family reunion, especially if you have the entire villa to yourselves.

This was one of the best random finds in Mirissa. It is one of the most tranquil locations with every accommodating staff. The food was well prepared, and the vibe was great overall. The rooms are well kept and are well maintained. They are also well decorated and furnished. The property has two pools and also has some great artefacts to look at on a random stroll around the property. Highly recommend for couples!

The hotel is nice but the road to the hotel is very inconvenient. Tuktuks and cars have a difficult time going uphill after entering the gate and the hotel does not provide any service to the guests to accommodate them Either they should fix the road, or arrange transport till the main road. Also, there was no hot water. If you're going to Mirissa, preferable to stay at a beach front hotel. The manager had his own tuktuk but refused to give us a lift till the gate because its his "personal" one.

Cinnamon tour is highly recommended. You can do the tour with and without lunch. We did it without lunch. We arrived with our family of 5 and were told about the history of the cinnamon plantation and how the cinnamon is grown, cut and processed. A skilled employee showed us the process. An educational tour for the kids. The place is also a hotel. We didn’t staye. It looked nice with great views.

We stayed here for 2 nights, with dinner and breakfast option, what can I say? A place we would never have expected. Located on a hill, surrounded by the forest, it is a corner of absolute peace, in a rustic, but very well-kept and elegant environment. The sounds of nature are the only noises you hear, a place that is good for the soul. The food is spectacular, all made on the spot and always plentiful. The thing I loved most is the infinity pool, overlooking the forest, there are lots of monkeys, squirrels and an infinite variety of birds. If you want to relax and connect with nature, this is the ideal place.

The hotel has a beautiful and quiet environment, and the decoration design is very textured. The view of the mountain is very beautiful. It is not far from the beach and the bustling town. The geographical location can be said to be quite excellent. However, since the hotel is located on the top of a hill, the road up and down the mountain is very narrow and muddy, making it difficult for vehicles to go up and down the mountain. When we finally reached the top of the mountain and discussed check-out with the hotel staff, we asked them to use the hotel's tuktuk to help us take our luggage down the mountain. (We had booked 5 rooms for several families that night, so you can imagine how much luggage we had.) But they refused. Even when I offered to give them a certain tip, they didn't agree. It was amazing! It’s OK for us to walk up and down the mountain normally, but how can we carry so much luggage? It's really too much that the hotel doesn't even consider this for its guests. Even our driver, a local Sri Lankan, criticized the hotel for its poor service. Fortunately, our driver was helpful and contacted the hotel manager through an acquaintance. He then arranged for a service staff to take our luggage downstairs and received a tip of 2,000 rupees. But the bad service experience still left us with a bad impression.
