Casa Arequipa

Very friendly staff, especially Alison and Eddy. Inexpensive laundry. Good location. Very fresh bread at breakfast, which is served in a pretty room on the rooftop terrace. It’s good value for money. If you shower too early, the water will be cold. We had room 10, the balcony room. The bed was comfortable and also pretty as was the shade of green. However, the room got very hot even with the fan they loaned us. Our friends in the honeymoon room did not get hot but said they heard alot of street noise when they needed to keep their windows open for cooling purposes.

The kindest staff I’ve ever come across. They were really accommodating and helpful when we had difficult situations. Lovely rooms and very comfy beds. Pretty and quiet part of the city but near enough to walk to main sites. Couldn’t recommend more highly.

This is a beautiful hotel experience. The large rooms are spotlessly clean, elegant and individually decorated. The hotel itself is homely and tasteful. Beautiful breakfast on the roof terrace with amazing views of snow capped mountains and Misty the volcano. Eddy the owner and all the staff cannot be more helpful. An easy 10 in walk into town. Best stay in Peru.

The staff here was amazing, a great bargain for a cozy spot. Free breakfast every day was nice and it had a great view. We would often ask the staff for recs and they would help us with anything we needed. The rooms were comfy and very affordable as well.

Myself and 5 friends recently enjoyed a fantastic 2 week holiday in Peru. One of our destinations was the charming city of Arequipa. Rather than stay at a typical corporate hotel, we sought a boutique hotel in a convenient location, and chose the wonderful Casa Arequipa. We enjoyed our 2.5 night stay tremendously, thanks to the owner Eddy and his friendly staff. We traveled in Peru on PeruHop bus which arrives in Arequipa from Nazca at 5:30am. We knew we would be tired after the long overnight bus journey, so we contacted the hotel well in advance to arrange a very early check-in. The owner Eddy was there to greet us at the very early time, and arranged an early breakfast for us. Our 3 morning breakfasts at the hotel were excellent, served on the top floor with beautiful views. Our rooms were spotless with very comfortable beds. The hotel is located on a quiet street with easy access to Arequipa's historical center. An easy 15 minute walk from the hotel to Plaza de Armas. There is much to do in Arequipa, and the hotel owner Eddy will gladly suggest activities and restaurants. Be sure to try one of Arequipa's unique "picanteria" style restaurants with local cuisine you won't find elsewhere in Peru. We loved Casa Arequipa and highly recommend it.

Adrian, the owner of the hotel, is a wonderful host going to great lengths to make your stay a precious one. Comfortable beds, good WLAN, excellent breakfast on the rooftop terrace. If you ask Adrian nicely he will prepare a delicious Avocado salad that even the Washington Post praised. The ladies in his team are also very charming and need to be mentioned! Thank you!
