I have recently had the delightful experience of a 2 week stay at Tamarind Tree Resort in Minuwangoda, Sri Lanka. The physical surroundings are verdant and well-tended by a team of gardeners with magnificent plantings of tamarind, cashews, avocados, coconut, etc. The huge salt-chlorine swimming pool is superbly maintained and pristine clean, all 9m x 14m and 2.5m deep. I could not resist and was in there daily until my fingers wrinkled! My room was spacious and well-appointed with everything functioning perfectly. Room service was efficient with all requests met. There was a daily spread of most delicious food for breakfast, lunch & dinner, with a variety of tasty interesting local dishes available. Many ingredients were harvested fresh from the garden. All of the hotel staff were friendly, responsive and accommodating of my requests, going out of their way to ensure complete satisfaction. 1. The hotel is in a very remote place, it can be said to be in the wilderness. I can’t go to the airport until 7 o’clock in the evening, but the hotel check-out is at 12 o’clock. I have nowhere to go and can only sit outside. There is no air conditioning. 2. There were either flies or mosquitoes in the room. There were toads at the door. I immediately told the front desk that I broke a small plate because of the flies. She asked the waiter to come and see it, but they did not do anything to deal with the flies and mosquitoes. I was given a ticket to compensate for the loss. 3 Because of the remote location, I had to eat at the hotel. There were many dishes to choose from, but they all had to add a 10% service charge. The seafood in the seafood fried rice I ordered was two shrimp tails, about 1.5cm in size. I called the waiter and it took me a long time to find them. 4 Wi-Fi is basically unreachable. Even if I barely connect, I can’t open web pages or apps. 5 In the evening and early morning, there are sounds of unknown animals. You can choose this if you want to sleep hard. 6 I didn’t sleep well all night, and I was bitten by at least ten mosquitoes all over my body. There were ants on the bed, spiders on the wall, and all kinds of original ecological cuteness can be seen everywhere.

I arrived in the evening and left in the morning. I had breakfast and walked around on the beach without going to the swimming pool. Room: Very big, the bed is two meters wide (later I found out that all jetwing hotel beds are 2 meters wide). We originally wanted an extra bed, but the guy at the front desk suggested that we check the room first and then see if we want it. Extra bed... He can give an extra bed sheet in case three people are uncomfortable - a big thumbs up. Pushing open the balcony door and facing the beach and the sea directly, with a few coconut trees dotted around it and the sound of waves rumbling, I feel very good. The room facilities are old, but the hygiene level is good. There is no toothbrush provided. Because the first floor is close to the sea, there are very, very many mosquitoes. Please be sure to bring mosquito water. The breakfast is good. The standard of Sri Lankan catering is very low. I thought it was just average at first. Later, after completing the journey and staying in more and better hotels, I found that this place is not bad - the point is that this one is very, very cheap! Compared with other jetwings that often cost 1800+, the price/performance ratio is incredible. (Of course the overall level is definitely lower than jetwing yala and lighthouse)

This place is excellent for a stay. Especially if coming to or from the international airport. Our welcome was friendly and efficient. The room is excellent, pristine and equipped for all that is needed for our overnight stay. The bed is also very comfortable. Breakfast was brought to the room however I chose to have this at the small table and chairs outside of the room on a small terrace. A perfect place for this. The breakfast is more than adequate, also caters for me as a vegetarian. I asked for a knock at my door to be woken up in case I had slept thrmy alarm and this was given. Such a delightful place to stay. A small courtyard garden with a static table and seats if wanted. Garden lights during the evening make this a pretty area to relax. Tea, coffee and water are available in the room. There was air conditioning and a ceiling fan. The accommodation is located down a side road from the main road. This means it’s nice and quiet. For dinner we decided to walk jumping a few metres to another hotel which served food. However, Faith Hotel do have menus for which to order food which would be delivered if required. Alternatively, we were offered an option of being taken to another place if we wished. We had booked for 2 separate airport transfers as we were travelling on separately to different places. This was organised by and with the owner dropping us all in good time. I noted while at the stay, information regarding trips to places and even tours can be organised. Additionally there is information on an Ayurveda treatments option at a place called Ayurveda Villa which really looked good. This had different packages with a stay including food consultation with an Ayurvedic doctor to decide on the relevant treatments for your package. To use up our rupees we were able to pay part cash, part card which was so convenient. This couple really do offer everything in a stay at Airport Faith Hotel. They are passionate about what they do, are committed to making your stay the best. They have everything available or on hand and can’t do enough to make your stay a happy and good one. I highly recommend a stay here.

Stayed here to recover from my long flights. Very comfortable place, but it is a little difficult to find from the road. It's not exactly close to anything a tourist would be interested in, however transportation is cheap and you can get to the nice bits of Negombo or to the transportation centers very easily.

At the request of the boss, I must review this hotel. There are more than 4 kilometers away from the airport. They are quite small and clean. I only slept for one night anyway. The next day was to leave at 6:30 in the morning, so they prepared breakfast just after 6 o'clock, two omelette bars, two sandwiches, and a large pot of coffee. After all, the conditions are not comparable to the 5 new hotels in the city, which is fair enough. The boss also provides car rental services. I didn't try it because the traffic in Sri Lanka is really big. If you have confidence in your driving skills, you can drive by yourself.

In fact, this hotel is very comfortable, it is the most comfortable hotel I have visited in Sri Lanka, the environment is also very good. However, this hotel is a seaside, private beach... It is not particularly convenient to go in and go out. If there is no chartered car, the hotel will call the car. Everything else is super good!

This is my first time been visited to covanro with my team members & family. Nice ambience, cool & calm relaxing place. This is the ideal place to enjoy and relax with families/ friends. The service given by all satff members @ covanro is unbelievable. we were wamly welcome by front staff. The restaurant service staff was fantastic and service oriented. The food was delicious and nicely arranged buffet with mouth watering Desserts. Thank you very much to covanro Ambassadors for made us memorable experience. I had the privilege of staying twice at this place! The room was clean and tidy and yes a few things around the place need a bit of a face lift but let me tell what you will get! Nasmeer and his team will go above and beyond for you! You will always be greeted with a welcoming smile and nothing and I mean nothing is to much trouble! The location on the beach is amazing and after school the local children and adults will be your entertainment.. as the community gathers on the beach you will watch the children play soccer ( football), cricket and fly kites, there is music and laughter all while you sit either around the stunning pool or on your balcony watching the spectacular sun set! This place is well worth a stay!
