There were many foreign guests, and I felt that they were making an effort to promote Japanese culture. You can enjoy the view of the garden from the bath and dining room. We changed the check-in schedule from the beginning, but they readily agreed to it. During breakfast, I was fascinated by the peaceful swimming of Nishikigoi in the pond. Participating in the morning shift is thrilling on the dark streets at night. I had to give up on the summit of Mt. Minobu this time because I couldn't see the sign and took the wrong route, and it was cold and rainy, and visibility was poor, but it was a good opportunity to refresh myself. thank you

The room has no toilet, toilet and bathroom. The food is not ideal. I stayed in a hot spring hotel with breakfast and dinner for a week. The food here is the worst. Hey, it's that simple. The price is not cheap, the hotel is only half of his price, the food is better than him, and the service is better than him. This is the hotel with the worst service in Japan so many times, not one of them. It is recommended that Ctrip cancel the cooperation with him. Picture 1 is also embarrassed to call it a hot spring. In order to show it to his family, I took a picture while no one was there. In short, bad review. Nowhere is it satisfying. There are too many hotels to choose from

A wonderful place to experience Japan. Very clean, with genuine elegance and beauty. The vegan food was excellent, filling and interesting (and I am a carnivore). All the staff were warm & helpful. The hot wine bath was relaxing after a day of exercise. Much to do in the immediate area: many temples & shrines. We took the gondola up the mountain for a view of Mt Fuji. This is a mountainous area, so you will need moderate fitness and mobility for the outdoor activities. We stayed 2 nights, and there were free performances both evenings (I don't know if this is standard or if we were just very lucky). There are no TV's or annoying loud music. Kakurinbo is serene and pleasant.

This place is incredible. It’s worth the trip. We took the coach from Tokyo. The area is stunning, the temple was so peaceful. We stayed overnight with dinner included. The whole dining experience was like a work of art. After dinner with had an onsen. The following morning we got up at 5am, to meditate 🧘 with the monks in the temple. Truly, the best part of our trip to Japan. We wished we would have stayed longer. Thank you to all the staff! It’s not a very well known place, but that’s what made it even more unique.

Wonderful place everything was fantastic! Great service everyone was so nice and the food was perfect. Small town close by for shopping. Beautiful scenery. Lots of shrines and temples close by. Lots of activities on site like tea ceremony (book in advance) wine bath too, biking! Suggest renting car to get around the countryside even tho you can take a train from toyko Japan.

I wanted to include a temple lodging experience in my Japan trip itinerary and Kakurinbo was the perfect place for it. I'm so glad to have added a second night to the booking, as it allowed me to explore the area around - Minobu-san - which was full of history and beauty. I took part in calligraphy, which was taught patiently and I got to take home a one-of-a-kind souvenir. I also got to design and make a bracelet in a shop nearby, Google translate was essential for this but it was also delightful. The Buddhist cuisine did not disappoint, but of course this is authentic Japanese cuisine so does require an open mind to enjoy it. The room was overall comfortable and clean, the service is of a very high standard and the bath was also a real treat.

I stayed here with my 16 year old son. We were looking for something very authentic Japanese. Kakurinbo was perfect. We stayed two days after arriving in Japan and it was a great peaceful quiet way to recover from jet lag. The beds were very comfortable and the rooms very clean and spacious. We had the garden view and enjoyed green tea each morning while watching the giant koi fish in the pond. The food was Delicious and artful in presentation. Even my 16 year old son who lives in frozen pizza and ice cream was happy with the food. The wine bath was a special treat and relaxing to soak each evening with a window to view the garden. Even the map they gave us on arrival was awesome not was very detailed and had so Lucy information that was useful as well as interesting. I was sad that the first day I lost mine but the gave me another. We went each morning to the temple service and I recommend to go. During the service a monk shows the incense bowls and invites people up to burn incense. The “map” explains how to do it and watch someone go up then don’t be shy and do it. Also don’t forget to do the water purifying outside. Again, the “map” explains. We also took the ropeway to the top and we’re blessed with a view of Mt.Fuji. Thank you for a memorable time my son and I will always cherish.
Response from Property: Thank you so much for taking the time to write such a detailed account. We are so glad you and your son enjoyed your stay.

Extremely nice experience in a wonderful place. We stayed just for the weekend but our memory still lives on. Incredibly nice staff, so was the quality of food, a culinaric and esthetic delight; nice and cosy traditional rooms in a wonderfully calm environment, away from the buzz of modern Japan.
Response from Property: Thank you for your kind words. Please visit us again.

The hospitality in this temple lodging is supremely unmatched. We were met with such a warm, inviting aura by the staff and the temple. Our room was extremely spacious, with loads of decorum adding to the overall experience. Along with that, we had the opportunity to do a plethora of activities, including calligraphy, yoga, temple prayers(at the big temple, about a 20-minute walk early in the morning at 6:00 a.m.), kimono wearing, you can rent electric bikes, and what we were able to do was the kintsugi course. Repairing broken pottery was a very therapeutic and educational venture that is something off the beaten course and should be included in everyone's adventure when they visit. The food was presented in such a charming and elegant manner. I'd recommend having breakfast and dinner here, the view from the dining room area out to the garden is something you'd have to see for yourself because it is incomparable and pictures don't do it justice. I loved the courses they gave us, quite filling and the flavor profiles on every dish was greatly influenced by passion and love for each ingredient. This area is one hell of a diamond in a land of so many jewels.

I highly recommend temple lodging and this wonderful place just made my whole trip to Japan. Friendly staff, cozy accommodations, amazing bath, excellent meals, gorgeous grounds and a short walk into town and to the main temple area.
