This was my first time staying at a temple lodging. The room was spacious and had two rooms open next to the main hall, giving it a sense of history, but it was well-cleaned and I had a comfortable stay. The food was delicious, and the mascot dog Konatsu-chan was cute, and there were two cats to welcome me. The bath was spacious enough for one person to use. The toilet was shared, but clean. The smoking area was outside. It was also helpful that they took me to the main hall at 5am for my morning service at Kuonji Temple. They provided a hair dryer, yukata, and toothbrush. I think I should have just brought a bath towel. Thank you very much.

We were the only family staying at the lodge, but we were treated so kindly. It was our first time staying at a temple lodging, so we were nervous, but the friendly hospitality of the hostess, including the lovely, smiling lady, made our stay a relaxed one. There were no other guests, so we were able to relax in the bath. The food was vegetarian, but delicious. We are very grateful for the hospitality shown to us, such as taking us to Kuonji Temple in the morning. Thank you very much.
