Booked one night here as a last minute for a night away and nice meal for my wife.on arriving we were met by the owner not much of a welcome and was quite condescending when I asked about parking, after learning they won four in a bed we were quite hopeful but not to be there was a funny smell and as you can see by the pics some cleanliness issues in room 6 and the bed was really uncomfortable. We were going to eat in the pub but was put off by the unfriendly atmosphere. The owner may not like this review but if you work in service industry you should be able to take criticism and act on it .we didn't complain because we felt she would be confrontational, by contrast we walked up the road to the ship grounded pub and received a warm welcome and smiling faces and had delicious meal making us wish we'd booked there.we could have had breakfast at the quay but was put off by the atmosphere and the odd smell,we would not return and this review is not a personal dig at the owner but an honest opinion based on what we saw.

Stayed 4 nights may bank holiday weekend. Room and En-suite clean and tidy. Colette and staff very polite and helpful. Ate in the bar a couple of time and have no complaints about the food( or the beer). Nice full English breakfast. Enjoyable stay.

My parents have just left your lovely pub. They cannot thank you all enough for such a wonderful 9 nights. From checking in nothing was too much trouble. Their cases were taken up to the room. The room was spotless and cleaned daily. The sea view super. Breakfasts were plentiful and could be mixed and matched as required. Cereals and toast etc were also available daily. My mum and dad want to say a special thank you to Sarah who was wonderful. Also a thank you to the owner Collette. Would my parents stay again? Absolutely! The Quay is friendly, clean , welcoming and extremely good value . 5* accommodation and service . The Quay Inn is highly recommended and a great place to stay. Thank you everyone for making my parents stay so good.

Beautiful room with a sea view, breakfast was lovely very tasty. We even drank drank and played pool in the bar x It’s dog friendly, the landlady Collette has a wicked dry sense of humour and doesn’t suffer fools gladly ! We had a lovely time we would recommend and would go back and stay there again x

This is a hotel in a lovely position where we stayed as a small group of walking friends for the weekend. Our experience was unfortunately spoiled by the landlady, who was incredibly unpleasant and rude. Her manner at breakfast was so abrupt and unfriendly, it was hard to remember we were actually paying guests. She was also insulting when we politely and quietly queried a minor price discrepancy as we had booked through ***********. I expect she will now say that we were the ones at fault and were rude (as she has done in previous reviews!) - make up your own mind. If you want a Fawlty Towers experience, this is for you! If not, there are other places to stay in Minehead.

My partner and myself came down to Minehead for a much needed break and came across the Quay Inn for Sunday lunch. He had the pork and I had the beef, both meats and sides were cooked to absolute perfection, even better washed down with some Red Devon cider! After reading a couple of the past reviews, I have to completely disagree, Collete was very welcoming. Not only did she make room for a late Sunday lunch booking, she was also accomadating when I explained that I have a couple of food allergies and I felt very reassured (I have had a couple of bad experiences in the past) and was very grateful. We also popped in yesterday for a couple of drinks and enjoyed sitting in the sun in the pub garden for the better halfs birthday - perfect! Extra special mention to Danny behind the bar, truly a lovely and very chilled man. Thank you both for the experience, we will absolutely be back and recommend you to our lot back home and send them your way :) All the best!

My partner and I went for an evening meal. From the outside it didn't look too inviting. However, once inside the place was suprisingly clean and tidy. We were greeted by a warm and friendly landlord/owner. There was an unusually large and diverse menu. We had been eating out in Minehead for the previous 3 nights, the food was the best we had during our stay.
