Extolinn Sanyo-Onoda Asaekimae

All the facilities were clean and nice, but it was a bit disappointing that they charged a separate parking fee. I used it 3 times and it wasn't charged twice, but this time they charged a separate parking fee..ㅠㅠㅠ

Very close to the station, but there are few trains. Breakfast is free but the taste is average. But it is a good hotel at this price.

綺麗なホテルで、駐車場もあり、大浴場もありますので、とても良かったです。また、マッサージチェアもあって、そちらでリラックスすることもできます！（マッサージチェアについては、3機あったのですが、寝てる方もいたり、待っているにも関わらず分数を追加してずっとやり続ける方もいたので、実質一機しか稼働していないようなものでしたが、、、全ての日がそんなことばかりではないと思うので、私たちの行った日はハズレだったな〜と思っております笑） 朝食も瓦そばがあり、ご当地のものを食べれたので嬉しかったです。 また機会があれば泊まりたいと思えるお宿でした！

*Reflections of past notes* (Visited in March 2018) ・We stayed for two people for 1 night and 2 days for 6,000 yen (3,000 yen per person). ・Asa, Sanyo Onoda City, Yamaguchi Prefecture. The business hotel "Extol Inn Sanyo Onoda Asa Ekimae" is located about a 2-minute walk from "Asa Station", where the Shinkansen also runs. ・We visited it just after it opened in January 2017. The facilities were clean and well-equipped. There are many power outlets, and it is standard for a smartphone charger to stick out of the wall. ・It felt a little cramped for two people, but that was not a big problem, and it was absolutely wonderful considering the cleanliness and the completeness of the facilities. ・There seem to be smoking areas on the 3rd and 5th floors, so smokers should be able to use it without any problems. ・I didn't use it, but it's nice that there is even a large public bath as part of the facilities. ・Check-in on a Sunday for 3,000 yen per person, and breakfast is included! Isn't that a pretty high value for money? Unfortunately, I drank too much the night before and couldn't eat breakfast. Overall, I thought it was a nice hotel. I don't often visit "Asa Station" unless I have something to do, but this is a place I definitely want to stay when I go to the Asa area. I had to go to Fukuoka, but because it was a weekend in December, all the hotels in Fukuoka were expensive. Meanwhile, all the hotels in Yamaguchi were inexpensive. With almost the same conditions, I was able to keep the cost to about one third of that of Fukuoka (especially in the city). So, this time I devised a way to fly and used it as a night before going to Fukuoka from Ube, Yamaguchi. Hakata is far, but it's totally within the acceptable range for Kitakyushu. I think you'll have enough change even if you transfer the difference in fare to the Shinkansen. It depends on the time of year. Now, this hotel. Of course, the price was reasonable, but I was satisfied beyond my expectations. As for the sauna, the cold bath (or something like it) was covered. It was clearly advertised that there was no sauna. Instead, it was recommended to take a shower, which was surprisingly relaxing. Sauna → shower → outdoor air bath in the open-air space, that's all, but it was very relaxing. This large public bath is small compared to a super public bath, but it has more than enough indoor and outdoor baths and outdoor space, so I thought it was a good facility that could accommodate so-called "day bathing". I think it was better than Dormy Inn Shimonoseki in the vicinity. By the way, the morning bath starts at 5 o'clock. Of course, you can also use the sauna. ◾️Good points ・Good value for money ・Clean ・Staff are friendly (very friendly) ・The large public bath is really a large public bath (I hope AB and Route Inn take inspiration from this) ・The sauna is amazing ・Cold barley tea in the bathroom changing room ・We had the bath all to ourselves (we stayed for consecutive nights, but it will likely be crowded after 9pm) ・You can check the usage and congestion status of the dining room, bathroom, laundromat, etc. online ・Free drinks (I was impressed with the hot chicken bone soup provided when a cold wave hit) ・Windows and doors are left open to ventilate the room properly while cleaning ・A wide variety of breakfast options ◾️Bad points ・Lawson is definitely your only choice for shopping (buy some rice and other things) ・There are really no shops nearby (or they close early) ・Breakfast starts quite late, at 6:45am ・Personally, there is no bacon or freshly made bread for breakfast ・Natto was "sold out" for breakfast on this day ・(Not related to the hotel) Number of trains, convenience・(Not related to the hotel but) Depending on the train line, you have to pay in cash ・(Not related to the hotel but) You can't get from Asa to Fukuoka using the IC card ・(Not related to the hotel but) Even Ube-Shinkawa Station does not accept IC cards ・(Not related to the hotel but) The surroundings are dark I would definitely use your services again.
