Was like a four star resort for a one star price. Management was very helpful and accommodating. My room was upstairs in a cabin/treehouse, with a shared bathroom. I had the entire floor to myself, living room included. Extensive landscaped grounds, pool and private massage area. Walked to town, and to some nearby hikes. Mindo has a lot to do, but terrain can be rugged and weather is rainy. Best part? Homemade breakfast in the garden. That's a vacation!

Superb stay in Casa de Piedra. Well organized, very clean, nice staff. Good located near the town and all other facilities. We'd booked the superb Bamboo-room. Lots of birds around the lodge, Woodpecker, MotMot etc. Thanks Henry.

Beautiful setting, delicious breakfast and friendly owner. We were lucky to get more expensive bungalo for private room price and enjoied our stay there. Close to the town center, 5 min walk. Funny thing was guayavas dropping from the trees and hitting the aluminium roof, almost got heartattack every time. If you are light sleeper, rain on the roof might be a problem in the bunglaow.

The grounds are beautiful, the breakfast is beautiful and tasty, and the staff is super friendly. The location can't be beat. You can book all activities at the front desk - very helpful! We had a 3 bedroom suite that was very simple, but adequate. We loved birdwatching on the grounds.

We stayed two nights with family based on our local family's (Quito) recommendations and we loved it! Henry and his staff have a beautiful property that is close to the center of Mindo but still quiet and relaxing in the evenings. The cabin we had was very clean with comfortable bed. The breakfast every morning was amazing, served in a covered outdoor dining area that was cozy and comfortable. Henry was great in helping us arrange for several tours (don't miss the chocolate tours at El Quetzal--HIGHLY recommend!, a birding tour, the butterfly house....lots to do!). We will definitely return to Casa De Peidra!

Perfect place to rest, just 3 min from the center but not in the centre so in the quiet area. Customer oriented owners and staff. Helpfull with all the questions and troubles we had. Helping with organizing tours. You could spot many bieda in the garden and we had a chance to see capybara

Lovely place in the heart of Mindo. We stayed only one night and I was sorry not to stay longer! I took my son and his friends there and they had a great time. Casa de Piedra has wonderful gardens and a beautiful setting and only at 5 minutes from the main plaza of Mindo. Henry and all the staff were very friendly and ready to assist you. I loved its breakfast, specially the coffee. I highly recommend this place.

We stayed for 2 nights in a wonderfull bungalow, just as seen in the pictures. The grounds are beautiful. It is a very relaxing and calming place. The host was friendly and assisted us in arranging the tours and activities we wanted to do. The included breakfast was delicious. For a small fee they did most of our laundry. WiFi is available in the common areas.
