Very helpful as they helped us to liaise with Gala resort to get back our lost bag left in the free shuttle by calling and communicating from A to Z. Clean & Efficient. The Impeccable Service. Great for a complete relaxation.

The hotel is equipped with ski rental and selling ski lift tickets around it. The price is cheaper than buying on the spot. Breakfast is good and the owner is friendly. Some rooms require public toilets. The train to the hotel is very alienated. There are no restaurants nearby. If you want to dine out in the city at night, you must relocate to the return train or take a taxi. I hope the hotel can install a washing machine.

I bought a 3-day ticket in Ueno and boarded the Shinkansen on the way to Karuizawa. This is our 3rd week of 4 weeks exploring Japan and so far Yuzawa Grand is the best Ryokan Onsen experience we have had. We could have spent several days there it was sublime. We arrived in the morning and the staff were extremely welcoming, helpful and knowledgeable. We had been told by the tourist centre at the train station that the gondola wasn’t operational for 3 days; however the Yuzawa Receptionist assured us that it was operating and showed us that they were even able to sell us tickets at a discount. She gave us a map and bus timetable, showing us where everything was. They stored our backpacks for us and off we went exploring and had a marvellous time. We soaked our feet in the foot baths while having a treat before catching the bus to the mountains. We came back to our gorgeous room which had a coffee pod machine in it. Was so nice having a coffee in the morning looking out the window. We enjoyed relaxing in the beautiful Onsens before dinner. The buffet at both dinner and breakfast was incredible, everything so beautifully presented and incredibly delicious. Highly recommend this gorgeous hotel. The staff are fantastic and the ambiance very peaceful.

The grandfather at the front desk was very kind and friendly, although the language was not available, but it was very helpful. The dinner is also delicious, the environment is clean and hygienic, and it feels like a traditional Japanese hotel. The only downside is that there is only a public bathhouse, and the bathhouse has private time, which may take a long time if you want to take a bath during this time. My girlfriend likes 🥰

Great hotel and very clean room. Decent buffet breakfast. however, we were not aware that we cannot order dinner and it must be prebooked. Not the easiest place to get to, but they offer a free shuttle to and from the station. However, the shuttle runs only once an hour and must be booked, so it is not very convenient.

Stayed here after going to Tangze skiing, luckily booked a room with open-air hot springs, which was perfect and the breakfast was particularly exquisite and delicious. The hot springs in the room are really different, enjoy the trip, just in time for the hot springs, beautiful can not be described in words.

Hotel room was good and massive,facilities are abundant as well. The onsen is super spacious and it's thru the night. Food selection are quite a few but do try to get to Eki for more selections... Just take note of the last shuttle bus back to hotel. In all the stay was good, just need to take note that this hotel is only allow SKI in / SKI out... But NOT SNOWBOARDING.... That you have to take shuttle bus to other resort location thru its skiing shuttle bus services...
