A hotel with everything

It was used during the 2022 Echigo-Tsumari Art Triennale. The main building, where the lobby is located, is an old private house built in the Meiji period and has been designated as a registered tangible cultural property. This modern Japanese-style hotel has been recognized as a three-star hotel in the Michelin Guide Niigata 2020. The calculated space design has a sense of overkill, but it is calming. I stayed in Classic C-type Room 305 (Komatsu), a twin bed placed on a 10 tatami mat, a space next to 4.5 tatami mats and 3 tatami mats, and a reading space facing the front. It was a bit too large for a couple, but the 3 tatami mats were occupied by chairs and were a little inconvenient. Dinner is a full-course meal called ”Snow Country Gastronomy” based on ingredients and traditional dishes that have been eaten in the snow country for generations. Although the taste was above the level, there was no dish that left an impression with the orthodox menu structure. Although it is a different world once you pass through the gate, it is close to the city area and is along National Route 291, which runs parallel to the Uonuma River, so the location is not very environmentally friendly. It's not bad if you decide to stay home.

The breakfast is very rich, I save lunch after eating, and the dinner is also very rich, comfortable to live, very close to the ski resort, a good experience

I lived in the attic on the first day. Although the stairwell was a bit noisy, everyone had a quiet sleep at least until 11 o'clock. The heating in the room was very comfortable and the pillows were quite special!

1. The buffet restaurant was well equipped with corona measures, and I was able to enjoy a delicious meal while looking at Hakkaisan with peace of mind. Crab, many kinds of sashimi on a boat (maybe because the sea bream sashimi was delicious because it's close to the Sea of ​​Japan), sushi, tempura, roast beef, beef stew, and more, all of which were delicious! According to the menu, we first tasted draft beer, then local sake Hakkaisan and Kakurei chilled, but the sake was served in a nice glass decanter (?) Breakfast was quite good for this price, and the Uonuma Koshihikori rice was delicious. 3. The hot spring was a clear and refreshing bath, but there was a shallow water about 3m x 4m in front of the bathtub, which was good for small children.Elephant watering cans and baby chairs were also prepared. 3. The next day, my family was chapo chapo in the pool, but it's wonderful that you can enjoy the pool, hot springs, and two delicious meals at this price. 4. However, the only negative point was that the air conditioner was in the back of the Japanese-Western style room, so the cold air did not reach the entire room (because it was quite large), and it was hot even at the strongest. 5. By car, it's a convenient location, just 4 or 5 minutes from the Muikamachi Interchange... However, apart from skiing, Muikamachi doesn't feel like a tourist spot at all, but you can enjoy the hotel itself slowly and leisurely, so this is it. It was a wonderful summer night.

Kappo Ryokan Irohatei is located in Minamiuonuma and about 5-minutes walk from ItsukamachiStation, near Hakkaisan Ropeway and Agricoa Echigo Winery. Free WiFi is available in the lobby. Yukata are available for guests to wear during their stay. Guests may borrow conveniences such as irons at no additional charge (please inquire at the front desk for details). Facilities include a communal bath, a ski rental, a snowboardingequipment rental and rental bicycles. The hotel offers Japanese multi-course meals featuring local and seasonal ingredients. This is the location where the NHK serial TV novel Kokoro was filmed. The hotel possesses 28 guest rooms.

Stunning place to stay. Amazing views from very spacious rooms. Excellent service. Nothing was too much trouble. Teens had the best time exploring and making snow men. Enjoyed skiing at a close resort as Naspa skiing was over for the season. Easy access to town bus leaves every half hr.

Located in front of the Shinkansen station!! Free parking available!! A perfect base for business and sightseeing.

近くに国道17号がありますが、住宅街の中にあるので、うるさくもなくゆっくりできました。 駅前にあるバス乗り場にもでやすいので、スキースノボで来るならとても良い場所かと思います 小さいですが３〜４人くらい入れる広めの大浴場あり。 中から鍵をかけて使用して良いとのことです。 なので貸切状態でゆっくり入れ、とても快適でした。 出る時は、電気を消して扉を全開にして開けておきます。 特に予約とかはないので、鍵がかかっていなければ入れる感じです。 乾燥室のような板置きもあるので、スノーシーズンには重宝します。 ハンガー掛けるところもあるので、ウェア等も乾かせます。 板のお手入れのことも伝えたら、快く延長コードを貸してもらえました 乾燥室でワックスがけもさせていただけたので良かったです。 部屋は２名用なので、広々しています。 机も仕事するには問題ない広さです。 帰りが遅くなる時は、鍵を持って出た方が良いです。 早く戻る時も持ってても良いかもです。 一度、フロントに預けて出た際に、午後早めに戻ってきましたが、呼び鈴押しても全く出てこなかった時があります。 電話もかけてみましたが、やはり出ず… 10分くらい待ってようやくエレベーターで降りてこられたので、フロントにいない場合もありです。 数日滞在でしたので、毎日清掃も入ります。 バスタオル類や歯ブラシも毎回新しいのを置いてもらえます。 乾燥室のような板置きもありです。 ハンガー掛けるところもあるので、ウェア等も乾かせます。 板のお手入れのことも伝えたら、快く延長コードを貸してもらえました。 乾燥室でワックスがけもさせていただけたので良かったです。
