"Booked a triple room but the room is not big, enough to live, if the weather is good, it must be very pleasant to drink tea on the balcony. Kurogawa Hot Spring Water is good, and the hot spring pool is both indoor and outdoor. The hot spring town is very lively, but it is basically closed at 6 pm. There are many hotels in the town and the business is good. The waiter's smile was very bright."
"What a surprise, a special car pick-up at the bus station🚏, one night and two meals are great! The girl from Zhejiang is beautiful, enthusiastic, and thoughtful. She introduced us to delicious cakes and Dorayaki in the surrounding area. The entrance of the hotel is the starting point for hiking. If you have time, you can go for a walk. There will definitely be unexpected gains! The hot springs are also great. Kurokawa Hot Spring Town is worth visiting again! Unforgettable🥰"
"Sure enough, the water temperature of the hot springs meets the requirements. In order to adapt to foreigners who don’t like heat, many hot springs have lowered the water temperature, so it doesn’t feel like soaking. The interior style is also the feeling of the Taisho era😄"

"The service staff are very kind and attentive. When checking out, the gentleman at the counter for other consumption amounts said that you cannot pay by card and you have to pay in cash, but there is a sign at the counter that you can pay by card and it does not say that you must pay in cash. I feel a little strange."
"Transportation) If you write a pickup request in the memo, they will pick you up at the information center or bus stop!
Accommodation) I stayed in the main building, and it was clean and had a charming traditional feel! There were not many people on the day we stayed, so we used it like a private bath, and there were men's and women's baths, 2 family baths, and a mixed bath. It felt like we had a villa with a hot spring hidden in the forest, so my friend and I were very satisfied. ><
Kaiseki) They also served local specialties such as seasonal vegetable tempura and horse meat sashimi, and they gave us enough for a woman. The horse meat and plum wine were so delicious that I remember them.
+ I checked out without even knowing that I had left my jacket on a hanger, but I was grateful that they found the store we were in and went to find it. ㅠㅜ"

Amazing
BBubuWuThe hotel is ideally located close to major attractions and transportation hubs, making it convenient for tourists and business travelers. The rooms are comfortably and elegantly designed, fully equipped, and provide high-quality beds and a quiet resting environment. The service staff is enthusiastic and professional, and can respond to needs quickly, making the stay experience more pleasant. The hotel offers a variety of dining options, rich and delicious breakfast, as well as facilities such as a gym and swimming pool to meet the needs of different travelers. The overall environment is clean and tidy, and the cost-effectiveness is high. It is a recommended accommodation option.
GGuest UserThis is a small and exquisite family hotel. The staff is kind and friendly. There are two hot springs, indoor and outdoor. I booked a room with two meals and two single beds with a tatami. It is clean and tidy. There is a separate toilet but no bathroom. You have to go to the hotel's hot spring area to take a bath. But this is also very convenient. After all, such a good hot spring, I will definitely enjoy it before going to bed and in the morning. The outdoor hot spring is so comfortable, it's worth the trip
DDenis GrI wanted to hide from the crowds of tourists and feel as close to nature as possible.
The place is simply magnificent, the location of the ryokan is generally ideal. There is a magnificent view from the window, the sound of the water is very relaxing!
A huge plus was the presence of 3 shared onsen (family bath) which did not need to be reserved! Just come and take the ones that are free (They are open 24/7)!
In general, the topic of hot springs in this ryokan is a hotel conversation, the temperature is pleasant. 2 open-air onsen (very beautiful with different themes), 2 closed onsen (open 24/7) and 3 shared (private onsen)
Kaiseki (dinner/breakfast) was magnificent, we spent 2 hours for dinner and 1 hour for breakfast. There was a lot of food, varied and interesting. Everything was incredibly delicious! In general, we were fed there with:
The staff is very polite, they will help, explain, speak English.
We asked to leave our things before leaving because we still had a lot of time before the bus and the staff kindly agreed! Thank them again!
In general, it was a wonderful trip and a very beautiful place! In the evening, if you are in season, they light the lights on the river and it becomes completely magical!
CCHONG HSIENFantastic ryokan experience. This ryokan has many separate onsens. Staff are proficient in English. We stayed at Annex building with more privacy and private onsen. But public onsens have many choices and would keep you busy to try them selectively.
The beds are comfortable too.
TTommy TingweiA very private and exclusive resort in the Kurokawa area with only 9 rooms. If you want to stay in an authentic Japanese style ryoken, do not miss this hotel. Very historical looking resort with a natural stream running outside our window. Our room was so big with so many separate areas I want to say it's bigger than a lot of apartments. The private onsen in our room is semi open air. Dinner, breakfast, and public onsen is a few minutes walking distance away in their main resort building, and shuttle service is available if desired. We would definitely stay here again.
AA TseTop notch friendly front desk staffs with smiling face all the time. Service is excellent, they even help me to park my car and take my luggage to the room. My room has a private onsen and it was surprisingly big. The public onsen in the hotel is also very nice particularly the outdoor pool where you can hear natural water flowing sound from the stream below. The dinner was great even though I am not a big fan of horse meat. Cleanliness and tidiness is impressive. Breakfast was in Japanese style, but you can still have a cup of drip filtered coffee. Overall I love this hotel very much and will prefer to stay there if I happen to go there again.
LLimJia YingDespite our language barrier, the owner loves conversing with people, which is why he decided to open his guesthouse. He even recommended a little path that shows a great sunrise. I was greeted with some deers hopping in the distance at 6.30am. Truly magical and breathtaking. This is THE place for solo travellers. There’s a saying that it’s the people that makes the trip enjoyable and this place is proof. He charges for accommodation cheaply but offers beyond the cost, within his means happily. He loves anime like Attack on Titan and has watched Laputa 21 times. His hobbies include biking, hiking and has hiked Mt Kuju several times, Mt Aso too. He travelled to Vietnam Cambodia and Thailand solo trip too, and wants to do it again 3 years later.
As my first time doing solo travelling, I couldn't be luckier than this to have met this wonderful host. I would say so far, my time spent in Kurokawa Onsen and together with the host is my whole trip’s highlight. I felt very safe and comfortable in this living space and truly enjoyed the nature surrounding it as well. I love the location of the guesthouse because I love walking and hiking. The main area of Kurokawa Onsen is quite a walk itself, so walking to the guesthouse was just extra leisure for me. Just make sure to follow google maps and the various sign boards he’s put up along the way! He offers a ride back and forth at 8.10am and 5pm to the main area anyway and to the supermarket if needed, very generous of him! Make sure to not be shy and chit-chat a lot with him! It was so much fun.
The room was very cozy and with the 6 beds arranged, an extra 100 yen per night for the heater is totally reasonable to me! it felt like I was back to school and enjoyed the cleanliness and casualness of everything. Damn, this place has great interior design too. The lights have motion sensors, pretty cool! He also has his own little beautiful hot spring which you should pay extra if you want to bathe at night. Personally did not find the need after bathing at the town haha.
Thank you for the comfort of home and lovely company!! I hope many people who enjoy company and nature stay here!! Highly recommended for at least 2 nights! The onsens are all very good and beautiful. I want to come again.
TTo Eat and To TravelThere are many public and private bath to choose from in this ryokan. Plus you can get the kurokawa onsen pass (tegata) which gives you access to 3 external onsens in the town (most ryokans in town are participating) within one year of purchase of the tegata. We didn’t book dinner at the hotel, and used the diner time to try Nonohana お宿 野の花 and Ryokan Konoyu 黒川温泉 旅館 こうの湯, then next morning before breakfast I went to most of the onsens in the hotel, then after breakfast we checked out and tried Miyama Sanso 山みず木別邸 深山山荘, all four places (including this hotel) have amazing onsens and views. We drove so it was easier for us to try onsens far from the hotel, but driving in town wasn’t the easiest given narrow roads. The parking lot is a few minutes walk from the hotel, we kept the key with us for easy move around.
차차라차라차차I visited for a family trip.
I booked room 101 after reading reviews, and it was an excellent choice.
It's in the middle of the mountains, so the road to get there is really rough.
My heart raced.
The night view was crazy, and deer and raccoons were running around in front of the accommodation.
It felt smaller than the posted photos, and the layout was different, but it was big enough for 4 people.
However, the floor heating was partially possible, so you have to turn the heater on really hard when you sleep so that you don't get cold.
Everything was perfect, including the sauna and the jacuzzi. The only thing I was a little disappointed about was the location.
Very impressed, the place and the atmosphere can be said to be very good. receptionist Smile and help in every aspect. If coming, will definitely choose to come back to stay here.
