The service staff are very kind and attentive. When checking out, the gentleman at the counter for other consumption amounts said that you cannot pay by card and you have to pay in cash, but there is a sign at the counter that you can pay by card and it does not say that you must pay in cash. I feel a little strange.
Shenshan Villa is an excellent hot spring hotel. The room is beautiful and comfortable, and it also comes with an outdoor hot spring, so you can relax and enjoy the view. Breakfast and dinner provide a rich variety of cuisine, allowing you to taste a variety of delicious food. The most surprising thing is that all this is affordable, allowing you to enjoy a first-class experience at a reasonable price. Overall, Shenshan Villa is an excellent choice, whether you are looking for relaxation, good food or affordable accommodation, this place can meet your needs.

Stayed for one night at Yujuku Huafang Hotel and felt comfortable
The location is slightly far away, suitable for self-driving tourists
There are many beautiful attractions and hot springs nearby
Check-in is also very quick
The hotel is ideal for travelers who like to relax
Breakfast and dinner are rich and delicious
I chose a Japanese-style room, each room has indoor and outdoor soup, the room is very large and comfortable. Generally fragrant wood, very nostalgic, cost-effective
Food is high but not high.
Good staff service
Wonderful Wonderful Wonderful!!! 😍😍😍
Hidden location, excellent services, private onsen and public onsen experience, good food and prefect dining experience😍😍😍
Traveling with my mother, she liked this hotel the most during the whole trip. The service is really good. When the bus arrives at the station, you can call and a car will come to pick you up. The speed of arrival is very fast. The receptionist is very enthusiastic. She helped us solve the problem of booking the return ticket and arranged a car (not the normal drop-off time) to the station. The cave hot spring of the hotel is a feature, and guests staying in the hotel can also enjoy the private hot spring on the mountain that needs to be reserved.
This is a small hotel located on the mountain in the Kurokawa Hot Spring area. The environment is quiet and the creek next to the hotel is beautiful. It is convenient for self-driving tours.
There are only 8 rooms in the entire hotel, including 6 cabin-style rooms and 2 rooms in the main building.
- There are rooms with open-air hot springs and indoor hot spring baths: 3 rooms in total
- Rooms with open-air hot spring baths: 3 rooms in total

When we booked the room, because the rooms with open-air hot spring baths were fully booked, we could only book rooms with indoor hot spring baths. Although the hot springs did not have outdoor views, the hot spring pools were very large, and both of us could still soak in them. Large space; the hot spring water has a strong sulfur smell and is hot enough to feel comfortable.
Since each room has a private bath, there are no other people in the public baths.
The staff has a very good attitude and is very polite from reception, introducing room facilities and serving meals. Breakfast and dinner are served in a private room, and sukiyaki is also available for dinner. The wagyu beef is very tender and melts in your mouth. In addition to sukiyaki, the sashimi and horse sashimi are also very fresh and delicious, making you very filling. The exquisite presentation of the breakfast will whet your appetite.
Before leaving, the receptionist offered to take photos for us at the main entrance of the hotel, great!
However, if I come to Kurokawa Onsen in winter to see the Kurokawa Onsen Yumei (the famous local light festival), I will choose to stay in a hotel near the visitor center, because it takes 8 hours to drive out from Onyuku Nohana to see the Kurokawa Onsen Yumei. The driving time is 30 minutes. Driving on a narrow mountain road is often dangerous when opposing vehicles have to back up to give way to each other.
I was traveling by car, and I already felt so beautiful when I arrived in front of the hotel.
When you enter the hotel, the check-in attendant will ask you to put down your luggage first, and then provide you with a delicious cup of green tea and chocolate to relax you immediately!
Although the waiter does not speak English, it does not hinder everyone's communication. The waiter knows how to use the phone translation software and is worthy of praise.
There was a real buzzing sound when entering the room. ❤️❤️❤️ It’s so new, so clean, and so comfortable.
The rooms are very spacious and have a private hot spring pool. I'm really happy.
Dining is not included when booking a room, and the waiters will introduce nearby restaurants. Because I checked in for two days, I asked the waiter if I could order dinner and breakfast for the second day? Finally successfully booked.
Dinner was a very exquisite kaiseki meal, the food was very good👍🏼and the portions were sufficient. The second breakfast was delicious. This hotel is really worth recommending
If I have the chance, I will book this hotel again🏨

GGuest UserThe hotel is located at the centre of 黑川溫泉區, which is quite rural so highly recommended to go by car.
The service is excellent! The staff helped us to park the car and take the luggages up the stairs to our Japanese style family room.
We have ordered full board package and both meals are gorgeous.
There are many onsens in the hotel which are non-reserved and private, allowing family to enjoy onsen together. One drawback is that there are many stairs so elderly might have to take it into consideration.
TTo Eat and To TravelThere are many public and private bath to choose from in this ryokan. Plus you can get the kurokawa onsen pass (tegata) which gives you access to 3 external onsens in the town (most ryokans in town are participating) within one year of purchase of the tegata. We didn’t book dinner at the hotel, and used the diner time to try Nonohana お宿 野の花 and Ryokan Konoyu 黒川温泉 旅館 こうの湯, then next morning before breakfast I went to most of the onsens in the hotel, then after breakfast we checked out and tried Miyama Sanso 山みず木別邸 深山山荘, all four places (including this hotel) have amazing onsens and views. We drove so it was easier for us to try onsens far from the hotel, but driving in town wasn’t the easiest given narrow roads. The parking lot is a few minutes walk from the hotel, we kept the key with us for easy move around.
AAnonymous UserThe hotel is very nice. You must drive to there. Staff are very friendly and polite. It has restaurant, lounge with free coffee and tea. Room has 2 hot spring, inside and outside each. It also provide cleansing oil, moisture milk etc. Cuisine are delicious.
GGuest UserRyokan Yumotoso is in a perfect location in the quaint town of Kurokawa. There are about 12 rooms only, hence its quite a quiet and small establishment. Service staff are all great, and the room view is fantastic looking over the beautiful river. The open onsen also overlooks nature, and private onsens are rustic. As per Ryokans, breakfasts and dinners are included, and so far, we have never been disappointed with food in Ryokans, including Yumotoso. Do note that parking lots are limited, and the lane leading to Yumotoso is rather narrow. Would recommend Yumotoso for its great location, fantastic room view and rustic environment.
AA TseTop notch friendly front desk staffs with smiling face all the time. Service is excellent, they even help me to park my car and take my luggage to the room. My room has a private onsen and it was surprisingly big. The public onsen in the hotel is also very nice particularly the outdoor pool where you can hear natural water flowing sound from the stream below. The dinner was great even though I am not a big fan of horse meat. Cleanliness and tidiness is impressive. Breakfast was in Japanese style, but you can still have a cup of drip filtered coffee. Overall I love this hotel very much and will prefer to stay there if I happen to go there again.
JJackieXThe hot spring hotel in Kurogawa was not booked, and Trip.com chose a holiday house in the nearby Tibetan hot spring. Arrive before 6 o'clock, otherwise the staff will get off work. The house is very old, the name is ”Mei”, and the other house is a very new one and should be much more comfortable. The kitchen is fully equipped; The indoor hot spring is very hot, you have to try the temperature before entering the water. The towels are small and you have to bring your own bath towels.
GGuest UserFrom already travelled to another rakuten villa, I came with high expectation. I can definitely say that the villa is on par with the other ones. It has a very big living space, very well cleaned, newly built, plenty of equipments and amenities. I believe what stands out the most is the private Onsen and sauna, which is not offered in many places.
Travelers would want to travel here when there is day light, I went during the night and it was pitch black, the road is narrow, windy and uphill which required high level of cautiousness.
Overall a highly recommend this place when travelling to nearby region.
GGuest UserA very satisfying stay!
The design of the cabin is stunning. The two-story independent cabin allows children to climb up and down as much as they like. The owner of the B&B is very enthusiastic. Even if he doesn't understand the language, he tries his best to use translation software to introduce Kurokawa Onsen's attractions and B&B facilities. It really makes people feel like returning to their hometown.
Kurokawa is very quiet at night, and you can really enjoy the tranquility and leisure of the deep mountain hot springs.
The cabin is fully equipped and can be used for simple cooking. I cooked Japanese sukiyaki pot with the children in the cabin, which was very satisfying!
The outdoor hot spring in the B&B is another amazing place. Because it was summer, we didn’t make a reservation for the hot spring. The owner of the B&B enthusiastically invited us to enjoy it (unexpectedly). Unexpectedly, it turned out to be an independent open-air hot spring. I highly recommend making a reservation. It’s too Feel comfortable!
The next day, the children were very reluctant to say goodbye to the owner of the B&B and the owner's dog. Along the way, they still missed the comfortable bed (actually just a tatami sleeping mat) in the B&B. I will definitely visit again next time I have the opportunity!

GGuest UserThe host is very friendly with a neat guesthouse. Help me when I come and go by car. This is a guesthouse with good value for money so that I am willing to visit again.
ママーチンIt was a single room
It was cleaned as clean as a business hotel.
Because it is a container house, I don't care about the sound of the room.
The cherry blossom semi open-air bath was also very open.
As a personal request
I thought it would be nice if there was an alcohol and a snack vending machine.
