2nd stay at micasa after a 1st try in Sept 2023. Decided to come back in December, hoping to also try winter canyoning at Canyons, but not enough snow to do so. Anyway, the stay at Micasa was comfortable, warm, cosy and surprisingly the both meals were very good.
I will come back next time and book the room with its own onsen tub. Can't wait for winter to be back again.
Service is very good here.

The hotel size is not big, but staffs are friendly and helpful. Wonderful dinner and breakfast set provided. Recommend this hotel for travelers who are looking for hotel value for money. Ozen is also available here.

The service is attentive, the staff is friendly, and you can enjoy a comfortable Japanese-style hotel experience even if you can speak Japanese! And there is a special car to take you to the water station, which is very convenient! Recommended to friends who want to go skiing nearby.

Environment: The room smelled of kerosene. I had a headache and sore throat. I asked to change rooms in the middle of the night. If you couldn't get up, you could only eat cold breakfast. In addition, dinner was on time at 18:00 and the stall had to close at 19:00. A special little family hotel - enter a Japanese experience! The view is gorgeous, the stay is with a traditional atmosphere, the dinner is another unique experience! And the onsets are great! It is easier to have a vehicle in this area…but not a must

The is traditional Japanese hotel in Minakami. It's small town in Gunma. Room is large with river view is amazing. Onsen is very good. Private onsen is also provided with some fee. Dinner was Kaiseki sytle which is great. Waitess provided the information about each dish. Breakfast was served in the same table. It's set menu which is very good as well. Staffs are great, kind and helpful
