Stayed here for family function and had three rooms Staff were really helpful and friendly and gave us adjoining rooms in the extension. These rooms appeared new and were in excellent condition Three minor points The hotel was very busy being half term and the staff were so busy checking in guests that service at the bar was unavoidably slow in the late afternoon The car park is quite large but the harvester opposite is so busy when we got back we had to park at the far end which if you had luggage would be inconvenient.I was able to move the car in the morning Lastly like all expresses the breakfast quality is something of a lottery.on this occasion the coffee were better than usual express standard but bacon and egg were disappointing Generally however well above average for this brand

The location for me was perfect as I needed to be close to the hospital. It’s also close to bus stops into the centre and with a car you can reach destinations around the city fast.
The room is as shown in photos and is very well equipped for a hotel of this category. The wine glasses and tumblers chilling in the fridge were welcome! I found the room to be very clean and well kept. There was good storage, plenty of sockets including a couple of USB ports which is handy. The views of the marina were very nice and added character.
The people I met whilst staying were friendly and helpful.
Overall I enjoyed my stay and had two good nights rest. I’d certainly book there again.

The one down fall is breakfast says serving until midday we went at 10.30 and it was closed. Disappointing as we had already paid for breakfast and unfortunately could not get a refund.

We stayed with two young children and my husband, who is disabled. We booked a two room suite which was a lovely size, little night lights in the twin room (nice touch) lovely bath (with grab rails for my husband. Twin sink, nice toiletries and clean rooms with comfy beds. I'm a Hilton Honours member and am very impressed in general with the Double Tree offering from the company. Breakfast was fresh, great variety, friendly staff, was personality. Very aware of my husband's needs too. Highly commendable. Just a couple things. * We got all the way to the room and the digital key failed. I called reception who asked me to come and get a key, when I said I had a disabled partner and children I couldn't leave, was met with 'you have to come back to reception' lesson learnt. Don't bother with the digital key. Ever. * The hotel needs to invest in smaller high chairs for babies. It was huge, took up space and was a bit dirty. There are lots of local eateries nearby and shops too for your convenience. We would come back here again!

It had been a while since we visited the Carrington Arms, but we'll be sure to return again soon. Such a great mixture of relaxed & friendly welcome and service combined with excellent food - a rare combination to get right. Especially as it was pretty busy for a Tuesday evening, with a couple of large groups. Despite this, we never felt service was slow or that we weren't looked after perfectly. Will was really helpful and friendly - as were all the staff - including those at the steak counter, where the option to select your meat is a great experience. We'll be back!

Arrived on a Sunday and the restaurant and bar closed at 6pm so I had to eat out. However the hotel front of staff were very helpful, polite and professional and made me feel welcome. Lovely lady on the front desk and later a gentleman after 6pm. They provided me with extra pillows and asked if I needed anything else. The bed and pillow were super comfortable and I had a fantastic nights sleep. The room was a little tired and would probably benefit from an upgrade on the following items; carpets, chair covering and Woodchip wallpaper, small bath let it down but everything else was fine and the room was super clean.

Outstanding
DDonna MarinaStaff are friendly and the hotel is very cozy, suitable for cool kids! There’s a big supermarket across the street running until 23.00 and there are many restaurants around. Breakfast is very good! Super good value for money if you’re travelling for work there.
GGuest UserStayed here on business for a week last week. Overall, rooms are well sized and clean with only a few signs of maintenance needed. On my first night I tried the in house restaurant. It was cold, deserted and smelt distinctly of frying in old oil (an aroma more suited to a fast food outlet). Just as I sat down, one of the few other customers collared a waitress to remind her he'd ordered 50 minutes ago. I made my excuses and left. Next evening, I returned to the hotel to find my room unserviced. On challenging this with Reception, they apologised and explained that I should have been asked on check in if I wished to have my room serviced (note to any management policy setters reading this: why would I not?? Surely that's SOP for an hotel). So I asked to be added to the service list. Returned to the room after my next business day to find the room one again unserviced. I visited reception (again) to be added to the list (again) but this time insisted that the room was serviced that night while I was out for dinner. Am back in the same hotel again this week. On check in yesterday, this time I asked for the room to be serviced daily. This week's room is again very reasonably sized and comfortable, no complaints there. BUT this evening I one again returned to an unserviced room. On challenging reception (second time in two weeks) I'm told that my name had not, after all, been added to the ”to do” list. Unlike last week, however, it would appear that Housekeeping has all gone home and nothing can be done. In fairness, a fresh set of towels was offered, but a set is already in the room. Let's be fair: this is not the Dorchester or the Ritz and so my expectations are set at a level befitting a reasonably modern, mid market chain hotel. So all I was looking for was cleanliness (tick), comfortable bed and room (tick) and normal room cleaning and servicing as a default setting (no ticks at all based on two weeks' experience). This surely deserves a rethink, Jurys. I remain distinctly unimpressed. You may also want to look at the lifts, at least one of which displays an alarming range of lateral movement at speed.
LLVBCBeautiful hotel in a great location next to the park, restaurants and bars. We arrived early and the staff said they had no rooms available to check into yet. We know this wasn't true, as there were rooms available to book the day before and on the day still available. Not sure why they can't accommodate a slightly earlier check in to help guests. It's a very big hotel so we know the hotel wasn't fully booked mid week. They also asked for a £50 deposit which we have never been asked for before when checking into a hotel. We then realised the next they gave us a Signature room when we had paid for a Signature Plus room. We had paid extra for a higher floor room with the extras which we didn't get. The room was beautiful and comfy nether the less and the hotel staff were apologetic in letting us know it was the fault of Trip sending them the wrong information. After returning Trip did follow this up and credit us some trip coins to apologies. We had a drink in the sky bar, but for us it felt very open and cold. It had a bit of airport lounge feel to it more than a bar. The views were great and I'm sure dinner there would be lovely in the restaurant area. Apart from the few hiccups we did really like this hotel with the location, comfy rooms and great views! We will definitely stay again.
GGuest UserExcellent stay! Staff were very friendly from being greeted on our arrival by Mandy to breakfast where Karen was a delight to evenings in the lounge where Bo was very pleasant there were many others sorry to not include. Nice cool rooms. Stones throw from the shopping area. The lounge was nice to sit in the evening and have some food and drinks. The breakfast was amazing, lots on offer and all tasty. The health club was great didn’t go in the pool but went in the gym and steam room and enjoyed it and the bloke who was working In there sorry didn’t get a name was very helpful and friendly. Even being so close to a busy road there was no noise (room 233). Couldn’t get the TV to work but I wasn’t there to watch TV so this wasn’t a big deal. Overall was very happy with the stay and will definitely be back next time I’m that way. Couldn’t fault it thank you.
DDeguyAlthough the rooms are a bit small the staff made up for it.
Very close to the central station 12 mins walk.
The bed is cosy with good wifi All in all had a good stay.
The only thing was they didn't have any desk, table or chair in the room to sit or put something on. Also, no other amenities like toothbrushes or paste etc are available.
Aside from that, Great value hotel with friendly reception staff who are always willing to help. ( EaoJoy)
GGGPERCETTOThis hotel is absolutely amazing and the staff are just out of this world incredible! I have now stayed many times here and will keep going back! The manager is an absolute diamond guy and has all of my respect for how wonderful and accommodating he is. Nothing is ever too much to ask! Couldn’t recommend this place more. The last time I was there I managed to get a beautiful view of the moon from the balcony
GGuest UserWe booked here as a half way road trip to Clacton. Ellie was so welcoming and we were even offered a free breakfast due to the room we had booked not being available due to reasons beyond their control. We had requested a ground floor due to one of us being on crutches. There is loads of parking and the hotel is a separate entrance to the main pub. Access to the pub from the hotel is good. We had a double room. Fluffy white towels and tea/coffee facilities. Large TV and black out curtains which was very welcomed as we were tired. I must say this hotel is so fresh and clean and the corridors smell delightful. Our room was cosey, spotless and the beds were so comfy. We booked with *********** and would highly recommend. The pub next door is very reasonable prices We arrived as the England match in the Euros was starting. The garden had a huge screen and appeared very popular. All staff were very polite and nothing was too much trouble. Use the app in the bar and drinks are served to your table. Plenty of screens inside for everyone We would definitely return Thank you Ellie and the team! 5⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
