Not been in this area for a couple of years even though only a few miles away but the visit to the pub was cold, unwelcoming, and very disappointing in every way. Things have definately gone downhill in recent times, it’s a great shame as it’s a lovely location.

Lovely place to have lunch and a drink with the family. Friendly and amazing food. They also have some lovely photos and drawings of how the area use to look. Highly recommend visiting this pub in a beautiful location.

We popped in here for bank holiday lunch with famlly. Nice family room with games for the children. Tasty sandwiches, homemade sausage rolls and quiche. Great beers. The landlady was very sociable and helpful. Would definitely recommend a visit if u r in the area. Super little village.

Please be aware that this once great pub is, unfortunately, a pale shadow of it's former self. Still lovely setting but no food served except occasional expensive sandwiches and ploughman's as no professional chef. If you visit don't rely on old reviews or food. Hopefully will improve in future.
