Artemis Seaside Resort
4.6/570 Reviews
Had a wonderful stay at Artemis during our honeymoon in Greece! The staff is so incredibly friendly - they gave us a full tour of the resort (with welcome drinks) upon our arrival, and escorted us to our room. We stayed in the Deluxe Suite Sea View with Hot Tub and it was wonderful. The room had recently been renovated and the design was beautiful. The view of the sea is great, and we really enjoyed sitting at the table outside with wine in the evening. The pool and beach club are wonderful - the staff is incredibly attentive and we always had water and drinks in hand! The beach that the resort is on is absolutely stunning and we were thankful to have access to the beach bar (as it gets very busy with non-guests during the day). We got a couples massage while we were there and loved it. So relaxing, and the technicians were so friendly. We had to leave the hotel early for an 8am ferry and the hotel arranged for us to have breakfast delivered the night before so we had something to eat in the morning! They were also so speedy at delivering anything we needed to our room during our stay. The location is about 25 minutes away from anything we visited - which we thought was great. Enough to feel secluded and away from crowds, but still easily accessible to anywhere by car. Thank you so much Artemis for a wonderful stay!

Gerofinikas Boutique Hotel

What is not to love about this family run boutique hotel. Firstly, that view upon arrival - quite exquisite. High up and overlooking the bluest of blue waters of the Aegean Sea. Secondly, the very warm welcome by Spiros. This is a gem of a place. Not only are the rooms spacious and clean - with a lovely area outside to sit and enjoy a glass of wine - but everyone is so friendly and accommodating to every need and request. We visited close to the end of a 3 week holiday on the islands of Milos and Sifnos - and I have to say that the evening meal we had in the restaurant here was one of the best we had during our whole holiday. We have to make a special mention of Vassiliki (hope I have spelt your name correctly) who was excellent in serving breakfasts, restaurant meals, coffee, cocktails - in fact everything associated with food and drink. We really appreciated her sense of humour and service with a smile :) The hotel is well situated - a 15-20 minute walk into Apollonia for catching buses to places on the island. In particular it is well worth checking out Kastro - an historic township steeped in history. Spiros will advise on places to visit. A highlight for us was being there on a Sunday and having the opportunity to try the famous Sifnos Chickpea Soup - absolutely delicious. But then, all the food here was delicious. A big thank you to you all for making our stay a very memorable one. And for Spiros driving us down to the port to get the ferry when we left. Very much appreciated. We will be back and cannot rate highly enough the warmth you all extended to us during our stay. A very well deserved 5 stars given. Damyn & Noel :)
Nival Boutique Hotel

Lovely small boutique hotel with great views and easy short walk to the main part of the small town of Apollonia with its restaurants, cafes, bars and designer shops. Great to have a beautiful pool with no jostling for sunbeds. Warmest of welcomes from Ioanna who talked us through the best spots to visit on the island and ideas for eating out. We had a junior suite -good to have a bit more space to spread out as as we stayed for 8 nights. It was very private with a balcony and uninterrupted view to the lovely villages across the valley. Room was extremely stylish & comfortable with fridge & coffee maker. Modern bathroom, great shower, nice toiletries. Cleaned every day. We only ate in the restaurant on our first night and the meal was outstanding. Our only small quibble was the breakfast; was very disappointing to have no freshly prepared fruit, given the availability of nectarines, cherries etc we saw in the shops locally. There were a few cubes of watermelon on a couple of days and some under-ripe bananas and pears in a bowl. Also, am afraid we found the breakfast coffee undrinkable,it was so weak. We did feed this back when we left. We had to go to a local cafe every morning to get a decent hit of caffeine! Sifnos is a beautiful island, very relaxed and low key, absolutely nothing we associate with tourism over-development -thank goodness! You dont really need to hire a car, we managed with local buses and walks straight from the hotel. Only downside of the buses is they finish early so if you want to eat out away from Appolonia, you need to find a way back to the hotel. There are only 10 taxis on the whole island! I think the hotel can arrange a pick up, but it wont be cheap. Hotel transfer from port to hotel cost 25e each way. Do take time to do some of the walks between villages using old donkey paths, its a great way to see the island go to - just google Sifnos Trails (my weblink was removed by TripAdvisor) and you'll find waymarked walks; we did two directly from our hotel. There's also info on all the walking trails by the bus stop outside the Gerontopoulos Cafe (incidentally our daily spot for great coffee, food, snacks & fab staff-open all day). Day trip by bus to great beaches is easy- we recommend Faros beach. There are no sunbeds or anything, just take your towel and swim things. Its the safest swimming we've ever seen. Faros has a couple of restaurants, but we hung out at Captain George's cafe, open all day. Do be aware that on Sifnos, virtually everywhere does close in the afternoon. We also recommend a trip to Kastro -we walked there from Apollonia & go the bus back; if you like history, the Mycenean ruins at St Andreas -which are relatively recently restored and open to the public - are worth a visit ; they have a wonderful air conditioned museum exhibiting finds. You will appreciate this as the walk up the mountain is strenuous, but worth it (you can drive if you have a car) -the views are spectacular from the top. Sifnos is known as
Milos Breeze Boutique Hotel
4.8/575 Reviews
We cannot say enough good things about Milos Breeze Boutique Hotel! We came to Milos for a girls / friends trip and can't imagine staying anywhere but Milos Breeze. From the location, the staff, the amenities (a pillow menu!!), and incredible views, Milos Breeze was truly the best of the best. The rooms are lovely (we had a nice patio and private hot tub / plunge pool) and the rest of the hotel is incredibly luxurious and provides beautiful views of the town of Pollonia. The staff was also incredibly welcoming and helpful with any request we had. We can't wait to come back!
Milos Cove
4.1/552 Reviews
We spent 2 nights at MILOS COVE during our 3 week vacation, where we stayed at other 5 star resorts throughout Greece including, Kivotos in Santorini, Kalesma in Mykonos, Acro Wellness Suites & Domus Renier in Crete, and King George in Athens. I would rate every other hotel a 5 star and MILOS COVE a 3 for these reasons. Arrival: We received information regarding the dirt road prior to arrival and rented an SUV. Regardless of this, it is VERY difficult to find the hotel with no road signs on treacherous one lane dirt roads. We did make a wrong turn and it took us over an hour to try to find our way using navigation which was not always updating due to service on the mountain. There should be signs directing guests to the hotel off of the main road and more direct instructions with a drawn map on how to get to the hotel. The golf cart guys are very friendly and helpful. The check in is AWFUL! We walked into a DARK sterile room and stood at a counter to check in. There was no offer for cold cloth, welcome drink, or comfortable place to sit. We then received a tour of the facilities which was fine, but quite honestly we just wanted to get to our room and relax. The room or the pool patio is where check in should be. The pool view is beautiful! The metal cabanas however are bad! They shake and make a constant annoying rattling noise that does not allow you to relax. The fact that the pool is only open when the lifeguard is there from 11:00-6:00 is ridiculous. No other pool opened at 11:00 or required a lifeguard to be there to use. It is an adult only resort?? The lifeguard and bartender at the pool were very friendly. The spa tour was weird, describing rooms to sit in and meditate. The gym is poor. Not much there and what equipment they have is old and beat up in a dark dungeon like room. The pool suite we had was not at all private. You can easily see into the rooms next door. There was a dirt road directly in front of the pool, ruining the view of the sea where staff drove. The suite itself is impractical and plain. No labels on any of the switches which we were constantly turning on all the wrong lights. The mini fridge has nothing in it but one bottle of water, which they promote as a special bonus you get each day. No snacks. No robes. No comforter, sheets only on the bed. The amenities are cheap Garnier. There is no counter space in the bathroom, the sink takes up every bit of the space. The shower leaks a large amount of water into the bathroom area. There is a sign on the beach towels telling you if you take them you will be charged $40 per towel - TACKY. A bottle of champaign was included in our package. After arrival we received a bottle of Sauvignon Blanc and 2 worn out plastic glasses. We did not receive any other food treats as in every other hotel. No beach bag or hats, we did receive a string bracelet that was supposed to take away any bad feelings. The staff at the restaurant are unprofessional and unfriendly. One waitress br
