La Blanche Island Bodrum

We've just been to la blanche island for a week as a first holiday with our 8 month old I was a bit nervous due to the reviews but I honestly don't know what people are moaning about The place is spotless, the staff are ridiculously friendly even to the point of remembering our daughters name, there's so many choices of snack bars and places to sit and enjoy yourself depending on your mood i.e. beach bars, beach restaurant, pools, terrace bar, lobby - all of which have their own feel You can always get sun beds, there's always something to do The food was good, and if you didn't fancy something in the restaurant you've got snack bars or 24 hour food places It's not the place to go if you like going into towns and exploring I would think but there's not much else you'd need that isn't on the island The sea is gorgeous, the pools are clean, the rooms are nice If I had one bad comment it would be waiting for the lifts as that was annoying and it would be good to have an alternative, like easy access stairs but that's literally my only down thought and that wasn't even that bad If you've booked to go and you're worrying, please don't. It's the best holiday we've had!

I read with total amazement some Bad reviews of this Hotel, this was my 3rd Visit in 2 years, this time we booked for 11 days, Lots of changes had been made, new Staff employed etc, very clearly for the better. I spent time with the New Operations Manager and discussed the changes and the vision going forward. I was greeted as a returning guest by the extremely professional team of Guest Relation Managers headed up by Nida and Mrs. Ozge, The whole culture of this resort to include attention to detail have been improved remarkably, The New Ops Manager, F&B Manager, GRM Team and Restaurant FOH Managers need congratulating for the outstanding efforts and changes that have been made, the food service, offering etc have all been improved. I had the most wonderful 11 days at this fabulous resort, I will hopefully be booking my 4th Holiday there, later in the year, please all do yourselves a favour and ignore the negative reviews. Its a superb resort, I have 100% confidence in all of the teams here making this resort even better in the future. I cannot wait to come back and see you all again. Karl.,

This hotel is max 3 stars. Our room was bad smell and it was to small. The pool is good, but you can’t find free sunbed at 8:30am:( The beach is disaster. It’s dirty and it isn’t a normal sea beach. The freedge in the room doesn’t work. We never came back and we don’t recommend this hotel.

Lovely hotel, very clean, everybody can find something, good for families or couples, great choice of food and drinks are excellent, very friendly staff parking Barbara and her stretching💕

A week before going I checked the reviews again and they weren’t great. Didn’t have to worry at all, it didn’t live up to those. It was clean and whilst at the end of the season probably needed a few refreshing touches around due to normal wear and tear it was still a beautiful setting. Lovely place and the best first impression of Turkey. Loads of food choices in the main restaurant there were a number of restaurants which had a cost linked to them, we tried Vira - the fish restaurant was a great menu (cold baklava is very much worth it) and beautiful setting. I didn’t get his name but my thanks (if they could be passed on please) to the barman in the sunset lounge who went a little further to make really good gin and tonics for me when I asked for them done slightly differently. He’s got a tattoo on his neck and can make a mean cocktail too apparently if anyone’s still there/going for the end of this season. They were all good though and I didn’t have any problems with staff who weren’t fluent in English-they got someone who was if they didn’t understand. The massages in the spa are worth doing really set off the relaxing week to unwind I was there for, (Andy will do a good price) along with a trip to Kos and it seemed like we were there for 2 minutes not a week. Families around us seemed to love doing the watersports on offer with Jimmy keeping them all entertained, the beaches linked to the hotel were safe, plenty of loungers and space in little snippets so it didn’t seem too overcrowded. There are some steep walkways around the grounds but there are golf carts available for anyone who struggles with mobility (or even if you don’t). Whilst we didn’t really see much of the entertainment, what we did see was very good, Ethiopian acrobats were quite something. On the whole the Animation team were vibrant and engaging and heard quite a few younger people talking about following them on social media to engage more with them when home. I don’t often like going back to places I’ve already tried, just so I can try something new but I would definitely consider going back here even just to go try Toms restaurant trip in Bodrum and a few more of the trips nearby to explore the area.

Absolutely loved it. Please do not listen to the negative reviews, there is genuinely no pleasing some people! Some of these bad reviews are clear attempts at getting money back from Jet2 for no reason. I have just come back from a holiday with my partner and 8 month old daughter and friends with their children and we have all had the best time! The comments about unfriendly staff and uncleanliness couldn’t be further from the truth. The staff were attentive and extremely friendly, the room was clean, the pools were beautiful and the options of snacks/cocktails/sweets/food was all great. I honestly have no idea how some of these people are being so negative about such a lovely place! It’s actually annoyed me to read some of these negative reviews as they are just untrue. We didn’t see one person having a bad time. How you can be in such a gorgeous Place and still moan is beyond me! If you’re spending £6000+ go to the Maldives. But if you’re spending £2000/£3000 it’s worth every penny. Memories for a life time, we will 100% be back.
