After reading all the mixed reviews, I won't lie, I was not sure what to expect. The images on the site looked great so I stayed optimistic. We landed at Bergamo and got a coach transfer to Milan Centrale which was around €60. We had 2 large suitcases so got a private taxi to the hotel which was roughly €20. Be prepared to do lots of walking!! We checked in at 2pm and paid the local tax, and the staff were lovely, all bar one who was always a bit grumpy !! The staff were more than accommodating and welcomed us so well and one of the ladies gave my children a little Minions activity pack each which they loved. Breakfast was included in our package which I didn't realise- brilliant! The selection was good and I was impressed by how many alternative milks they had as well catering to those with intolerances/allergens ie a gluten free diet. (I would however recommend that the gluten free items be placed further away from the pastries and cakes to prevent cross contamination, as well as a separate toaster) Fresh juice was available everyday as well as a good selection of fruit salad, cakes, pastries and different kinds of teas. I would suggest a few more options for those that do not eat meat. Nonetheless the breakfast was great- especially the marble cake!! We had use of the pool and gym included. My children would stay in the pool all day if they could but it was great to cool down in as it is incredibly hot!! The gentleman at the desk suggested taking the 27 tram into the city centre, and this is just a short walk away from the hotel. It takes roughly 20 mins max to get to the centre and runs every 10 mins which is great. We purchased a travel card (3 day and 2 day separately) for €12 and €8 which covered bus, train, tram and metro. (These can be purchased at convenience stores or the metro station). Children also travel free on public transport as far as I know. The rooms were big enough for us and were tidy on arrival. We didn't need housekeeping everyday but the ladies who did come in did a fabulous job and didn't disrupt any of our items. These ladies were lovely and always smiled when we greeted them. We had air conditioning which was a god send as it was very hot during our visit- nearly 40°C!! WiFi is included but you have to get daily codes which was a bit annoying but the gentleman at the desk gave us enough to cover the last few days of our trip. The hotel was clean and tidy as well as smelling nice- I need to know what fragrance is used in the lobby!! The staff were great and I cannot thank them enough for all their help during our staff, they are a credit to the Novotel chain. I'm really sorry I didn't catch any names during our stay, but can gladly recommend this hotel to my friends and family! Arrivederci!!

Porta Venzia
I stayed at the Hotel Galles with my two year old son to visit the Christmas markets and generally do some sightseeing in December 2022. From the get go the staff were fantastic and we had a room with a large and comfortable cot (with small duvet and pillows) and a big bath tub. The breakfast is a buffet style and has a great range to select from. We had dinner in the restaurant on our first night and it was beautiful 🤩 I managed a sneaky glass of wine at the Cardiff bar where Christian was absolutely lovely with my little boy. Whilst we didn’t use the pool, it was great to know it was there if it became too chilly to go out. The location of the hotel is perfect, ten minute walk from the Central Station - don’t make the mistake of getting the airport train to the Cordona station…it’s a 50 minute walk even if the train is quicker! The reception staff were incredibly helpful and gave us lots of advice about where to go and how to get there. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend to others. There’s is some residual noise from the streets and the trains but it’s an inner city hotel, so I expected that but it didn’t keep us awake at night. Thanks to all the staff who made our weekend away extra special.

Milan City Centre
Just got home from our fantastic trip to Italy with Milan as the final leg of our trip. This property served as the grand finale with the ultra modern room and amenities, outstanding restaurant and outdoor bar, and perhaps best of all, the outstanding staff. The hotel staff is elite and one of the best most accommodating and helpful staffs I’ve ever experienced (Seoul’s Grand Hyatt being the other). Daniel and his female colleague whose name escapes me at the concierge desk was simply first rate in all their recommendations. So was the front desk staff at check in who made us feel like royalty, and the front desk staffer who was so spot on on her recommendation of a local brand shopping area (near Brera) for what we were looking for. The female restaurant manager whose name I didn’t catch was so helpful and attentive to our needs. The location of the hotel is hard to beat (less than a football field walk to the Duomo) and shopping and restaurants. Bathroom was amazing and room came with every amenity imaginable from state of the steamer and some hair curling device I don’t know about but she appreciated. Overall, an outstanding, elite level property!

Brera
An excellent hotel with very good service. Arrived early and room was ready for us. Room was beautiful and clean. Easy to get around with the hotel shuttle. Concierge was helpful. Timetables were printed out for us for easy traveling to Lake Como. Wonderful stay and I am sure that we will come back to stay again when we come back to Milan.

The second stay, the hotel is located in a suburban residential area, very quiet, a taxi to the city center of about 15 euros, the price is very high, the health is good, the breakfast is very rich, several Chinese restaurants nearby, AC Milan team stayed on the day, it should be There was a match at San Siro that night

The hotel is located on the outskirts of Milan, the transportation with the center is uncomfortable, it is necessary to lay on the road to the center at least 45 minutes. Taxi will certainly be faster. Once an hour to the nearest metro station of the red branch from the hotel there is a free shuttle bus, also you can get there on your own by 35 bus (20-30 minutes) or walk (35-40 minutes). The nearest cafe to the hotel (unless the restaurant in the hotel) is located in Cascina Merlata Park about 17 minutes walk. We had a room on the 12th floor with views on the industrial zone (I suspect that the species are similar to all rooms). And there is even an element of some fetish, because Milan was a major industrial center before becoming the capital of fashion. The staff was responsive and went to the meeting on the issue of freezing on the deposit map (Russian bank cards in Europe now in most cases do not work). The room is generally acceptable except for dirty windows outside. All necessary is: teapot, minibar, safe, spacious closet, fan. Swans are in good condition, towels changed every day. Bed large and comfortable, with two kinds of pillows.
