The hotel was very good in general. The receptionists and hotel staff were all very friendly. The decor was nice too. But it was quite noisy because of the location. You have to be able to cope with the noisy trains. The hotel has a restaurant and the service there was totally different from the hotel’s. The restaurant staff was not attentive and some of them were a bit rude. Breakfast was below expectations.

the hotel is great… amazing design, very well located near duomo. the room is big also a big bathroom. tbe staff also pretty nice and efficient. good value for price. I will go there for sure if I go back to Milano

The hotel is in a great location. The equipment is relatively simple, but European hotels are generally at this level, which is understandable. When we entered the room on the first night, we found a curly hair on the edge of the pillow, but we were so tired that we just slept there. The hotel's breakfast is together with the restaurant open to the public downstairs. The food is fresh and tastes good, and it is very practical. Overall, I recommend it. The location is really great.

Luxurious hotel

We had a really enjoyable long weekend in Milan. We couldn’t have chosen a better place to stay. The hotel was even closer to the centre than we expected, just 50 metres from the cathedral piazza. The rooms were as good as we hoped and the breakfast buffet set us up for the day. The staff were incredibly helpful and friendly, arranging airport transfers, making restaurant bookings, and organising a guided tour of the Last Supper at the last minute after we were unable to find tickets.

Wonderful three nights day in the centre of Milan. Took two rooms for a family of 4. Beautifully situated for all the main touristic and gastronomical locations. Excellent staff; honest welcome; well appointed breakfast salon and high quality start to the day.

The hotel Matilde is in the very center, just a couple of meters from the cathedral and the famous shopping mall. Apart from that excellent location in the center we ejoyed the great service and the nice interior. The rooms are really designed very nicely. So we ejoyed the stay here very much and would come back. If you are sensitive for noise you might not like the sound that you heare in the rooms when the tramway passes by, which sound a little bit like a thunder. But as said, we did not mind and slept very well inspite of that. Breatfast is also very fine in the cafe in the building. The hotel does not have a bar, but we did not miss that.

This hotel has an excellent location in milano. We would highly recommend it based on location alone. While the room was on the small side because we reserved the basic room, the room was incredibly clean and well decorated with modern decor. Importantly, the hospitality and service from the staff was outstanding. They were attentive to all of our needs. We would book this hotel again if we come back to Milano..

This is an incredible hotel on the second floor or an amorphous, old building. The construction and improvement were impressively solid: the floors were smooth, poured material, so no carpet creaky wooden floors, and the walls were marble or marble-like. Big rain shower with plenty of hot water. Excellent lighting and temperature controls, and plenty of power outlets. Our room was just above several restaurants and cafes, and we enjoyed being across from an old apartment building where people were out on their balconies and hanging clothes. The shops of Via Toledo were just down the street, as was the gorgeous Galleria Umberto II. Plazas, the Palace of Naples, the waterfront, the funicular to St. Elmo Castle, Spagnoli and Spaccanapoli were all around us. We thoroughly enjoyed our three nights here.

Great boutique hotel with great staff. Very clean, centrally located, bed is comfortable and the A/C is very quiet. This hotel will be a wonderful resting place after a day of city exploring. The daily breakfast was surprisingly delicious!

Our last hotel on this Italian trip was the Matilde Boutique Hotel in Milan. The hotel is located in the very center of Milan, almost on the Piazza del Duomo. After the luxurious and large rooms at Saturnia & International Venezia and Duparc Contemporary Suites, our room at Matilde was noticeably smaller, but still larger than standard European rooms, and with a balcony. We liked the hotel and the room. It was cozy, clean, bathroom with good cosmetics, comfortable bed. The room had TV, coffee machine, free water in glass bottles, full minibar, wifi, bathrobes and sleepers, safe. Speaking of the safe. It was not fixed with screws to the wall. I have observed this in some hotels, but it was strange to see at Matilde. From the hotel you can get straight to the restaurant, where we had a delicious dinner. The breakfasts are held on the second floor of this restaurant. And we liked them very much, they were much better than in Duparc, though also without prosecco. The hotel has a nice and friendly staff, the staff helps to bring things in and out and to call a taxi. Verdict: highly recommended for all ages! The hotel has the best location in town, professional staff, delicious breakfasts. Matilde Boutique Hotel is one of the best accommodation options in Milan!

We loved this boutique, Milanese hotel which couldn’t have a more central location: off Via Torino, literally a 2 minute walk from Duomo and Galleria Vittorio Emanuele. The experience was wholly positive beginning from the correspondence with Eleonora and Omema, who are both friendly, competent and professional. Yulia at the reception was great too! The decor of this hotel is well-thought-out, the rooms are spacious, practical, pleasing to the eye, the owners sure went all the way while remodeling as the materials used are certainly not on the cheap side. The amenities in the rooms are all-inclusive (they even provide a separate wash for the sensitive body parts). We are a family of 5 and requested 2 adjacent rooms, which we did - on the 5th floor (which was very convenient for us). The bed mattresses and pillows were so very comfortable and provided the essentials for an enjoyable sleep. The bathroom is huge and well divided: walk-in shower on the right, washing basin in the center and the toilet with the bidet on the left. Compartmentalized with beautiful glass doors (the one on the shower side being sandblasted for added privacy). Although I am a light sleeper, the sound of the tram didn’t bother me at all during the night. I believe the glass windows are well-insulated. Breakfast was served on the first floor and it caters to almost all tastes (including vegans and the ones who prefer milk substitutes). There’s a large array of choice and it is quite rich. You get to choose your coffee which is very tasty by the way (anticipated, since you are in Italy), not sure if you can get to choose your eggs, I hadn’t asked, since what was offered was more than satisfactory in every respect (breads, croissants, cheeses, cold-cuts, cereals, fruits, pastries salty and sweet, salads, cakes, juices, sparkling or mineral San Pelegrino, etc). They even allowed us to stay in one of the rooms till 14:00 whereas check-out is at 12:00 noon without any extra charge and they were kind enough to arrange a taxi airport service for us. Without a doubt, I would stay in Matilde again during my next visit in Milan!
